???: Wakie-Wakie!
Aio:Ugh–where am I?
Aio had woken up in a cabin. He saw someone in front of him who scared him.
Aio: Aah! Who are you!?
???: Heh, that's not important right now.
Aio: Alright-wait, a minute. How am I alive!? I fell to my death, no?
???: Yep! Luckily, since you were the first contestant, there was a bug still in the race. So while you were about to fall into your death, all the other rounds or portals opened up, and you managed to fall into one, which is where I found you and-
Aio: Hold on, what do you mean by portals?
???: Oh, right, I forgot you are still a puppet to this game.
The stranger smiled almost sinisterly.
???: It seems like I have to tell you from the very beginning. You see, we are playing this endless game of death. Every round, someone will die, and the higher ups are doing this, so there isn’t an overpopulation because they don’t want to overspend on us humans. I know this is something new. We didn't experience this until now. Unfortunately, the higher-ups have become greedy and now find entertainment of human’s death. Right now, three people have died, including you. Well, you should have been dead-
Aio: Wait, who else died!? This is way too much to take in.
???: I’ll get to it, just stop interrupting me. A female named Addi Lilith and Lukus Miles.
Aio nodded but didn’t know them. Well, his circle is small regardless.
???: Addi was burned alive before she received her death penalty, and Lukus was shot to death. I can not say much right now, but I’ll tell you the ones who survived are the true villains.
Aio lowered his head.
???: I mean him too. They could have prevented your death.
Aio: How?
???: You know two people who are loyal pets to the higher-ups and could have possibly changed your fate and don’t try to deny it. You know that he could have told his master not to let you die and consider your life, but he didn't. He let you die because he didn’t care about you. Now, I don't necessarily hate him because he is my idol of a racer, but it’s your choice on what you think of him. I’m just letting you know you never know when someone is lying. If he truly cared for you as a friend, he wouldn’t have left you to die. His master knows all the rules and strategies, and he’ll most certainly tell him. He is betting everything that he will win, and he’ll make sure he’ll win.
Aio clenched the blanket that was on him. He didn't want to believe it, but it’s true. Martin attacked him and made sure he would stay behind so that he could win.
Aio: I need some rest..
Aio laid back on the bed and covered himself with the blanket.
???: Good night, and get your rest.
The stranger chuckled and took out an old pocket watch.
