But Im a National Champion!

I was on my phone in the living room and and mom came in and told me to get dressed for class.

"We're going to class" I squeal.

"Yes, hurry up. Go get dressed" Mom says.

"Yay!" I say

We pulled up at the dance studio and went in and I hugged everyone.

And there was a new girl named Sophia.

I said hi to her.

And now we were all in studio A.

"Well, well, well, here we all are again" Abby says.

Kelly then comes in.

"Here's your contract. Git in there, girls" Kelly says to Brooke and Paige.

I hug Paige.

"Ladies, last week we went to a competition in Fort Wayne, Indiana. There were over 1000 people there just to see the Abby Lee Dance Company. While you all were out in the parking lot, Sophia was in here, learning. As you can clearly see, we have a pyramid here" Abby says

I bit my lip.

"Chloe, Nia, Maddie, Mackenzie, Hazel, Kendall, you are realize with the exception of Sophia that you are on probation" Abby says

Probation?!

"You are all on the same playing field" Abby says

We were all in a straight line on the pyramid except Sophia. She was on top.

" that's what all of you wanted. You didn't like the pyramid, moms. You want all the kids to be treated equal. That's what you got" Abby says.

"Jackie, you're okay with your kid being a winner. I know that I can count on her, that's she's a team player. And Jackie, I watched you in the dressing room. I watched you help everybody with their hair. I want to be kind to all the other women and I appreciate that" Abby says.

I can see Abby was trying to make us jealous and feel bad and it was working.

"This week, we are going to Ohio. The group routine is called "Red Carpet Special". It's a really sassy hot funky number. Sophia, you are doing a solo called "Superstar". I think you did an outstanding job last week, and I want to see a repeat of the same thing" Abby says.

"How many turns do you do?" Abby ask Sophia.

"54" Sophia answers.

Wow!

" why would I want somebody that can only do 53? I would prefer not to take any other solos, but I committed to attend the competition, so we're going" Abby says.

I bit my lip again.

"My next solo will be.. Chloe. It's contemporary. You are the national titleholder, and you want to keep it up? Then you have to keep winning."

" I want to direct my attention to the moms. I need to see your loyalty for what I'm doing for your children. You will have assignments, and you're gonna do a whole lot more than sit on your butts upstairs in my studio." Abby says.

Christi says.

"We have other children and other responsibilities, and you are not in charge of us" Christi says.
