Three solid weeks passed since the time I spent time with my friends, seeing we were preoccupied Esnart and Patience had some college applications to deal with and shopping to do.
On the other hand Memory and I had some Job hunting to do .

It's Thursday and I'm tired of staying home.
I quickly find a fire outfit but the sun is scotching outside,so I just iron a half-shoulder white flared  dress and Clean my dark-brown flat shoes.

"Hmmm, today I don't want to bump into that tempting handsome church guy I'm tired of looking stupid around him"I  say as I step out .

"Which way? should I go straight or take a turn at Memory's place! actually I'll follow my heart Memory here I come!?"I make a funny gesture while heading to Memory's place.

The peace in the quite streets makes me sigh in relief"No crush,no feelings no drama"I say while taking a deep breath.

"Ooh I see Memory's crib,buhh I ain't taking no shortcuts this time I'll use the normal route"I say while listening to Price up by Lecrae.

Suddenly , I see a familiar figure in the street my heart races at the thought"who is this Dude dressed in my type of clothes I love the outfit but I gotta walk fast so that I turn "I say to myself.

Fate has other plans,the two of us finally bump into each other and am I surprised to recognize him as my street mate 'Nathan'

"Heyy! How are you ?"He extends his hand in a greeting.

"I'm alright thankyou and how are you"I respond.

We lock eyes for a minute.

My heart skips a beat as I feel his hand and my hand touch , while I look in his eyes.

He finally breaks the silence"Where are you going?"

"Church,I just want to pass by my friends place for a minute"I reply while hiding the fact that I'm getting nervous.

"This far?"He asks.
"Yeah I'm used , distance ain't a barrier "I smile while responding.

He smiles softly causing me to smile again seeing how adorable he looks.

The two of us go out separate ways just like that .

Immediately I take a turn I increase my pace in nervousness.
"Damnnn!What was that why did my heart skip a beat when I saw Nathan...Joy !what on Earth is happening to you ! probably I'm just surprised to see him here!"I say to myself while making my way at Memory's place.

"My Leg!"Memory exclaims in excitement as she spots me from the gate.

We both laugh at the nickname she gave me.

We talk for awhile, listen to some music until it's time for me to start off.
Then something clicks to my mind.
"Nathan!"I say to myself.

My eyes widen in shock"Why I'm I thinking about him.

I shrug my head and head to church when the service ends I start heading back home .

"Joy,Long time no see"a familiar voice says from behind me.

"God! It's Cosmas am I happy to see my long lost primary school friend."I respond.

The two of talk while heading home we laugh at the times we used to run away from dogs each time we spot them, we chat till we reach the main Street where each go our separate ways.

"Next time I bump into you ,I wanna here you greet me in Spanish"Cosmas teases.

I reach home, change my clothes and sit outside waiting for Electricity to come back seeing there was a power cut.

Esnart comes at my place and we talk about novels,we laugh at the times we used to finish food before morning prep .

"Betsaleel"Esnart says.

What!what has he done?" I ask.

"Have you texted him!"she asks while smiling mischievously.

"No wayyy!I ain't I told you I've given up thus I'm over that crush thing!I'm happy we are done with secondary school and I got away with out knowing I liked him"
I smile at the thought.

Suddenly Electricity comes back and I jump up and down in excitement I leave my phone in Esnarts hands .

Oops!my bad , Come inside let's watch some TV"I say with a smile.

She smiles at me in a mischievous way while waving my phone at me.

"Oh no!what did you do ...wait don't tell me no you did not"I say in fear

"Oh yes I did ,I definitely did"Esnart replies while laughing .

I grab the phone, and my heart races at what I see it's like my brain just stopped functioning.

"No!Why Esnart why did you text him!why did you text Betsa on my behalf"I cry out in nervousness.

"Why not !the two of you are where playing hard to get! I'm sick and tired of it"She smiles as she defends herself .

I pinch my forehead and just shrug.
We play pretend and continue reading our novel.
