**Hi guys, if you're reading this, thank you! I am very excited for this creative project that I have been planning for a while. **Disclaimer** - there will be a lot of violence, trauma and explicit spicy content, so if that is something that's not for you, you should probably skip this one. If you like the story, please leave a comment or like, it would mean the world to me.**

RYA
Heavy breaths and a pained hiss were the only sounds filling the cold room as I stepped closer to the female in front of me. I could hear her heartbeat stutter as I stepped out of the night-kissed darkness and hooked my finger under her chin, tilting her head up.
Her skin was a little pale, her breathing uneven, but overall, she seemed viable.
Her green eyes looked up at me with a great deal of apprehension as she took in the dagger in my hand and her gaze caught on the silver markings that stood out against the tan skin of my arms.
She was pretty, her eyes curious, and she seemed harmless enough, which served me a great deal. Looking down at her, she might be the perfect candidate for what I need.
"They're called runes... Pretty, aren't they?" I gestured to the glittering lines and symbols weaving through my fingers and reaching up to my shoulders.
She blinked up at me before glaring and pulling against the restraints around her midsection and her tied wrists. "What do you want from me? Who are you?"
I sighed, a bit disappointed by her antics. After all, it's not like I hurt her... not excessively that is. If I acted the way I was supposed to, she would have been dead already, not tied up in a basement of a half-wrecked house in the middle of nowhere.
I circled the little female slowly, assessing her strengths and weaknesses, noting the way she stayed vigilant and ready for any attack.
She might seem small and weak at first glance, but her body is an arsenal of lean muscle, flexible limbs and quick reflexes. Yet, with her soft and innocent features and mousy brown hair she's sure to go unnoticed more often than not in the face of conflict.
I'm certain she uses those perks to her advantage as well, judging by the secret pockets on her jacket full of, what appears to be, misplaced jewelry. "It seems, that I have come across a little thief. How... convenient."
I stood in front of her, noticing the anger on her face as she eyed the dagger I was mindlessly playing with while thinking. I lifted it, letting the already dim light from the lanterns reflect on the sharp blade as I asked innocently.
"Oh, sorry, is this yours? Don't worry. I'll give it back... once I'll find what I'm looking for."
Her eyes glanced up to mine, her defiance breaking through her earlier fright. "I didn't steal anything from you. I'd remember if I have seen someone with such... appearance." Her head jerked towards my glittering marked skin and violet eyes.
There had been countless of times when I was the target of many curious glances and gawked at for my "oddness", as the king used to call it. My peculiarity was said to stem from the way I "glow".
My complexion is naturally darker, yet the silvery marks upon it, that cover almost the whole of my back, my arms and neck, draw much of attention from passersby. My violet eyes have their own distinctive spark, which is harder to conceal than I'd want to admit and there is almost always a trace of a faelight following my every step, wrapping around my limbs and whispering useful truths into my ear.
