𐙚 wren: age nine
𐙚 set: christmas eve of twenty-four

It came as no surprise to anyone that the littlest member of the Swift-Kelce clan was absolutely delighted by the holiday season. For weeks, the little lady had pranced around in wild assortments of holiday attire, oftentimes roping others into her festivities with only a sweet smile as her chosen manipulation tactic. As the highly anticipated holiday drew near, only a single sleep away now, her excitement only grew until every other sentence past her lips was a misconstrued lyric. It didn't matter how many times Taylor tried to teach her the correct lyrics to twelve days of christmas, Wrenley sung them all out of order, but her soft beaming smile and sweet gentle laugh balanced out the chaos.
Warm fire crackled in the living room, maple wood burning evenly, the sweet smell that lingered in the air subtly reminiscent of pancake syrup if she closed her eyes for a second to picture it. Her little hand held tightly to something even smaller, guiding it through the house with quiet anticipation. The fire burned in sight, orange flames twinging the room golden as far as light could stretch. The farthest corner of the room was illuminated by its own color palette, warm rainbow lights strung around an evergreen tree bright and consistent against the darkness that existed beyond the windowsills. Presents covered the silver tree skirt already, all of them different in some capacity, but sharing the same wholesome sentiment.
Delaware, Pennsylvania had been tenderly accommodating in recent days. The streets were quaint, filled with quiet chatter and holiday cheer, and the people had been kind as they encountered the chaotic group in faint passing and odd pairings. They'd done every stereotypical holiday activity — from last minute shopping in family-owned boutiques to hot chocolate tasting at every cafe they passed — the hearts of every Swift and Kelce in the state had been properly poured into. Now, there was only one thing left on the list of Christmas Must Do's, and Wrenley Swift was making good on seeing it completed before midnight rolled around and the jolly man himself crept into the cozy Haverford bungalow.
"I thought I heard little feet!" Travis Kelce grinned from ear to ear as he watched two small humans in matching pajamas creep into the living room with identical grins of mischievous anticipation. Wyatt Kelce and Wrenly Swift had gotten along like a house on fire after initial introductions had settled and timid shyness had been overcome, and since the second day of the Swift's stay in the little town three miles west of Philadelphia, they'd been inseparable. It didn't matter to Wren that Wyatt was four years younger than her, they'd been attracted to each other's company like magnets and nobody anticipated that connection dwindling any. "What can we help you ladies with?" The tight-end leaned forward playfully, his stubble-covered cheeks pink beneath soft lightning.
Wyatt Kelce was a whirlwind, and even with the sun far beneath the horizon, touching on land that was lucky enough to be confronted with Christmas already, she bellowed with loud excitement that was only a testament to how trying it would be to get her down for the night. "Mommy has to read the Christmas book!"
"Please." Wrenley Swift was the direct opposite, but her little green eyes sparkled with the same innocent anticipation as Wyatt's, making it impossible for any adult in the room to outright deny or even consider delaying the joyous request. She glanced shyly at Kylie, confidence faltering as she relied on Wyatt's excitement to secure the reading of her favorite Christmas story.
Kylie Kelce smiled encouragingly, her gentle blue eyes glimmering with fondness as she shifted slightly on the couch beneath her curled body, preparing to accommodate the company of three small bodies. She inclined her head just slightly, a breathy chuckle falling off her lips when Wyatt reacted instantaneously. The tiny terror pulled Wrenley along without grace, giggling when she was stumbled into and tripped over unintentionally. It had been three long days of very near injuries occurring, and yet still the excitable children hadn't managed to find a way to be any safer or more coordinated as they stampeded through the house. Kylie only shook her head at the chaos, welcoming Wren and Wyatt onto the couch with strong hands that intercepted any attempt at falling. "Where's Ellie?" She questioned when it became evident another set of little feet wasn't directly on their heels like they had been all week.
