The Shadow of the Sun in Gotham

Time travel is a lie!

Jason's POV

"So you want me to spy in a random person because you think they're a meta?" Duke clarified.

"Correct, your the only one who patrols during the day, so I need you to spy on them" Damian nodded.

The Batclan was sitting in the cave, most of them just got off patrol and were bored. Jason was sitting on the ground, resting his head on his helmet.

"His name is Will" Stephanie spoke up, she was sitting upside-down on the couch (no one knows how it got there) and eating a bagle.

"And he's engaged" Tim added, taking a sip of his coffee. He was the only other one then Duke not in costume.

"Can't we take this somewhere more comfortable? The Batcave is cold!" Jason complained. He was not cold, but he didn't want to sit on the ground any longer.

"I agree with Jason" Duke said, already walking to the elevator. The rest followed, after quickly getting changed into something comfortable.

"I can't get a hold of Bab's, So she's probably on her way to the manor"  Tim muttered, he sat on the kitchen counter, drinking a different coffee then before. 

"Can't she get here faster, I need some girl time while Cass is away! Yall fucking suck." Stephanie groaned.

"We all know how to use a computer, why do we need to wait till she gets here to search them up?" Duke asked, with a slight hand raise. He sat on a stool, eating a sandwich.

"It's like, her thing though"  Dick said, he sat on video call, he couldn't leave Bludëhaven until tomorrow, so this was the next best thing.

"No I'm with Duke, I have a date. I kinda want to get this moving before 3" Tim said.

"Fine" Damian grumbled, as he pulled out his laptop. "You said his name was Will? Any last name?"

"None that I heard" Steph said, Jason just watched as his siblings tried guessing his last name. Soon enough it got boring, so he gave his expert advice.

"Nico is a less common name then Will, try using that" Jason called out.

"Nico is a pretty common name, just not in America" Damian muttered, but he typed it into his computer. "No, no, probably not, hmm"

"What's with the hmm?" Duke asked, looking over Damian's shoulder.

"Just some articles about time travel" Damian said, clinking on the Wikipedia page and skimming through it. "Aperently there's "evidence" that the travel exists. It features two kids by the name Bianca and Nico di Angelo"

"That's where I recognize the name! The kid at the graveyard called himself that" Jason said, sitting up from the couch.

"He's apparently connected to the terrorist kid, Percy Jackson" Damian mumbled, it was strange he was off topic with the article.

"Anyone connected to him by the name Will?" Tim asked, getting off the counter and standing next to Duke.

"N-yes, Will Solace" Duke said, pointing to a line in the article.

"He as the same name as the country singer" Dick told them.

"How do you know about Naomi Solace?" Stephanie asked, her eyes narrowed.

"She ain't no ABBA, but she has good vocals" Dick replied, matter-of-factly.

"Everyone shut up!" Damian called "Will Solace, son of County singer Naomi Solace. He grew up in Austin Texas, and went to live with his father in New York at the age of seven, where he wasn't heard of until nine years later when he was spotted in Manhattan with Nico di Angelo"

"So nothing special, he just didn't want to deal with his mom's fame for a while, big deal. The kid isn't a meta" Jason told them, laying back down on the couch.

"Tim, your date starts soon, go get ready" Dick said "I have to go soon anyways, I'll be there by tomorrow though"

"Yeah, I should start my homework" Duke told Damian, Patting his shoulder, before leaving the kitchen.

Jason got up, and went to the fridge, he grabbed a beer from the back and opened it. He took a sip, and sat on a stool next to Damian, he waited for everyone to leave.

"So, I would say you should give up, but I don't think your wrong" Jason said, glancing at Damian.

"TT, I wouldn't think someone as unreasonable as you would believe me Todd" Damian said, before turning to face Jason.

"Wow, thanks" Jason deadpaned.

"What makes you think they are meta's?" Damian asked.

"Because the Nico kid acted weird when I met him, It was like he felt the pit on me. I could feel the shadows shift and move around him" Jason said, before taking another swig of his beer.

Damian nodded, before searching something up.

"What you doing?" Jason asked, he glanced at the screen and sighed

"Demon, you don't believe that time travel shit is real, do you?" Jason sighed.

"No, but I think clues might be in play" Damain muttered.

And Thus, they spent the rest of the day searching the web for clues on the di Angelo siblings. Will solace, and a little bit of the terrorist kid, Percy Jackson. Most leading them to nothing, but not all.

A/N: school sucks, my girlfriend is gone for the weekend, and I haven't went shopping yet. I think I'm going to buy a cake.
