Y/n pov
After we talked in the stadium gate for five minutes Kotaru came running toward me. "The award ceremony is about to start." He said. "Well I am not going" I said as he pouted. "Did u fight with Akashi kun" Mayuzumi said as I try to change the subject saying "so kontaro kun Mayuzumi kun there are my friends" I said as they sighed. "R u gonna ignore our question" Kotaro said as I shruuged. "Yes I did fight with him" I said as they nod. "But we are also your friends aren't we " Mayu kun said as I sigh and nod. "So u guys..." I said as I turn toward Tetsu and his friends."we should leave bye" Tetsu said as I nodded and said bye. I got into the stadium as it was decorated with beautiful flowers as I got into the club room I meet sei's eyes they were too cold.

I took a deep breath as I sat next to Kotaro. The tension in the room was thick. I could feel Sei’s cold gaze on me, and it made my skin prickle. Ignoring him felt like a challenge, yet I was determined to focus on my friends. Kotaro leaned in, breaking the silence. “Hey, what’s wrong with you and Akashi?” he asked, genuine concern in his voice. I hesitated, unsure of how to explain the fight.

“It's just... complicated,” I replied, keeping my tone light. “We had a disagreement during practice. I thought he was being unfair.” Kotaro nodded, but I could see the doubt in his eyes. Mayuzumi chimed in, “You two always seem to clash. Maybe you need to talk it out.” I shook my head, not ready to deal with that yet. The last thing I wanted was to confront the emotions swirling inside me.

As the ceremony began, I couldn’t shake off the feeling of being an outsider. Everyone around me seemed so excited, but I felt like I was stuck in my own bubble. Tetsu laughed with his friends, and it stung a little. I wanted to join in, but my mind was elsewhere. I caught Sei's eye again. His expression was unreadable, but there was something beneath it—perhaps regret.

I turned my attention back to Kotaro and Mayuzumi. “Do you think it’s worth it to try to fix things with Akashi?” I asked. They exchanged glances. “If he's your friend, yeah. But only if you want to,” Kotaro replied. I nodded, feeling the weight of their words. Maybe it was time to face the music. Maybe it was time to confront Akashi, not just for him, but for myself.
Then suddenly I felt his emotion changed he seems so nervous and  unhinged. He was about to take his medal but I can see him shaking the expression on his eyes I never seen him act like this since that day. The day he lost his mom. He took the medal and excused him self as I followed him. "Sei chan " I called as he turned to me. "What's up" I said as he wrapped his hands around my waist and pulled me close into a warm hug. "I saw mom in the crowd"he said he voice cracking as he spoke. "Sei your mom ......is not with us anymore" I said softly as he replied as "I know but I can't get why I saw here..." He cried on my solider as I looked at my best friend. "Sorry about earlier" he said as I nod. "Wanna go get milkshake" I said as he nodded and messed with my hair. So you forgive me? He asked as I smile. "Let's go "I took him as I run toward the door As we stepped outside, the air felt different. The humidity clung to my skin, but it was nothing compared to the tension inside me. I glanced over at Sei, who was still processing his emotions. I couldn’t shake the feeling that something deeper was at play. He had always been strong, but now he seemed fragile, like a candle flickering in the wind.

“Sei, are you sure you’re okay?” I asked, concern creeping into my voice. His eyes were distant, lost somewhere between the past and the present. He nodded, but I could tell he was still wrestling with whatever he had seen in the crowd. The image of his mother haunted him like a shadow. I wanted to reach out, to pull him back from that dark place, but I didn’t know how.

We walked in silence for a moment, the weight of unspoken words hanging between us. I tried to lighten the mood. “So, milkshakes, huh? You think they’ll help?” He smiled faintly, but it didn’t reach his eyes.

“Maybe. It’s just... sometimes I think about her. What she would say if she were here,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper. I felt a pang in my heart. His mother had been a guiding force in his life, and her absence left a void that no one could fill. “I just wish I could talk to her one more time,” he added, his voice cracking again.

“Sei, you know she’s always with you, right?” I said, trying to offer some comfort. But I could see the doubt in his eyes. The truth? I didn’t know how to help him. I couldn’t bring back what was lost. All I could do was be there.

As we reached the diner, the familiar neon lights flickered above us. I pushed open the door, and the smell of fried food and sweet shakes enveloped us. The atmosphere was buzzing with laughter and chatter, a stark contrast to the heaviness that lingered in our hearts. I ordered two milkshakes, hoping the cold sweetness would distract us.
"So how have you been feeling lately" I said as he shrugged. We ordered milkshakes, then his phone rang. It was his father."put it on speaker" I said as he nodded and answered the phone. "Hey father" He said. "Where are you" his father said harshly." Y/n was not feeling well and we left to get fresh air." He lied. "Oh OK just font forget your piano training  " His father said as he hang up. "Should we go back" I asked as he nodded and we started to go. "Where did u put your car" he asked. And yes I have a car my parents gave me so much money to cover for their absence "I think it was a few blocks from here" I said. "Is it that one" he asked as I nodded and opened my mclaren car as I entered. "Let me drive" sei said as I shock my head and got into drivers seat."I can't let you drive in the condition you are in" I said and sighed as he closed the door.
