Mi Familia: Ride or Die!

Part 8

(In Indonesia, Dante was sitting around a large table with Aimes next to him. After he stole Cipher's tech arsenal, he used them to empty out all of Toretto's family money, and was look at God's Eye.)

Aimed: What is the plan Dante?

Dante: Well for now we are going to lay low.

Aimed: Why, most of Dom's team are dead.

Dante: Most of them. We still don't know where his wife or Cipher is. His sister Mia is on that perfect little island with deep security.

Aimes: Ok, lets track them.

Dante: Its not that easy if they are expecting that. You don't think I've been looking.

Aimes: This is ridiculous, Dom hasn't even been found yet and it's been three days.

Dante: Dom and that kid of his are crushed at the bottom of that dam.

Aimes: Yeah, if you say so.

Dante: Why don't you go find something to do. Your getting on my nerves.

Aimes: Gladly, because sitting around here is driving me crazy.

Dante: I could just kill you.

Aimes: (chuckle) Whatever!

(He walks off laughing as Dante looks back at God's eye.)

(Back in Rome, after his made sure his family was asleep, Leon sneaks out and heads to the room Dom is kept. He slowly opens the door and see his old friend still out but he looks better.)

Leon: You know Dom if you wanted a vacation from being on the run, taking a swim in the ocean isn't it?

(He looks him over and sits in the chair next to the bed.)

Leon: I must say how shocked I was to get here and see you of all people. Its been what 23 years since I've seen you and the team. I must say I'm a little curious as to why you showed up here in this condition, but you never ask questions if your not prepared for the answer.

Dom: And you still talk to much.

Leon: (jumps) Got dammit Dom.

Dom: (open his eyes) Where am I?

Leon: Rome.

Dom: How long I been here?

Leon: It will be three days tomorrow.

Dom: (moves) Why my leg feel heavy?

Leon: It's broken. You want to tell me what happened?

Dom: I fucked up Leon. I fucked up and it cost me my family. My son was with me when shit hit the fan and I have no idea where my son is.

Leon: You have a son? Wow never would have seen they day where you and Letty have a son.

Dom: (looks sad) Letty is going to kill me.

Leon: So what happened?

(Dom gets comfortable on the bed before he tells him what went down in Portugal. He tells him about Dante and what happened before he woke up in Rome.)

Dom: Mia and Letty is probably losing their minds right now.

Leon: Maybe we can find a way to contact them.

Dom: I can't. If Dante gets wind that I'm alive he will stop at nothing to kill them, no I won't risk their lives.

Leon: Its strange that two days before you were found, a kid washed up on the beach.

Dom: (looks at him) What?

Leon: Yeah, we have him up at the loft in a room hooked up to an IV. He has a nasty head wound, and was severely dehydrated. He's been making progress and hopefully he wakes up soon.

Dom: How does he look?

Leon: Well he has brown curly hair, his skin is Carmel almost like he's mixed, and he couldn't be any older than 10 or 11.

Dom: You need to take me to him.

Leon: (confused) What why?

Dom: He could be my son.

Leon: (mouth falls open) What?

Dom: Your description sounds just like my son. I need to see him and then I will know.

Leon: Ok, but I don't think you should be moving right now with that leg.

Dom: Fuck the leg Leon, I need to see my son, NOW!

Leon: Ok, ill get a wheel chair but we have to be quiet. I don't want to wake up my wife and kid this time of night.

Dom: You got a family, wow.

Leon: I'm not that knucklehead kid I use to be.

Dom: It's good to see Leon.

Leon: You too dawg. Now lets get you to your son.

(He grab a wheelchair and helps Dom in it before he takes the IV and hooks it on the chair. They make it inside the loft as quietly as they could and he wheel him to the room his son is in. Opening the door he recognized him immediately and almost falls trying to get to him.)

Dom: Bri?

Leon: Thats your son?

Dom: (looks sad) Yeah that's him.

(Dom wheel himself closer and take his son hand in his resting his forehead against it.)

Leon: He is getting stronger every day.

Dom: Hey I'm here son. I'm here you can wake up now.

Leon: I'll leave you two.

Dom: Thank you Leon.

Leon: Hey what are family for.

Dom: Once all of this is over, maybe we can have a BBQ.

Leon: Count on it.

(Leon leaves out and head upstairs to check in on his family. Dom sits by his son side as he looks over him thanking god for keeping him safe.)

Dom: Hey I know you're scared right now but I need you to wake up. I need to see your eyes, hear your voice telling me that you are ok.

(Dom watches him to see if he heard him.)

Dom: I promise you that once all of this is over, I'm taking you and mami somewhere for a little while. So I need you to get better so we can get back to mami and family.

(He place a kiss to his son palm before he lay his head down and sends up another prayer. As he sits there, he slowly drift off to sleep knowing his some is safe and with him.)
