Mi Familia: Ride or Die!

Part 10

(It's been two days in Rome when Dom was able to get around on his own. Little B was still unconscious and they were becoming concerned about his head injury. Dom is sitting by his bed with his hand in his as he tries to think of something.)

Leon: Hey.

Dom: Hey, what's up?

Leon: Nothing just checking on you.

Dom: He is not getting better.

Leon: We are doing everything we can.

Dom: We have to get him back home to Mia.

Leon: How will you do that if this guy is after you?

Dom: I'm not going back. I don't want to put my family in danger.

Leon: (looks at him) What?

Dom: From the looks of everything, they think we are dead. I need to keep it that way if I'm going to find him. I want him to think that I'm dead and then I will find him and crush him.

Leon: Umm ok, so how will we get him to Mia?

Dom: You have an untraceable boat?

Leon: My father-in-law has a boat.

Dom: Ok, I need you to take him to the hospital there, but make sure no one can recognize you. I want my son safe and at home with his family.

Leon: You got it dawg.

Dom: So now we need to find a body and make it look good.

Leon: That shouldn't be to hard.

(Dom smirks as they come up with a plan to get Littke B home and Dom finally gets revenge on Dante.)

Dom: Ok, in two days you will take Brian to the Canary Islands and take him to the hospital there. Leave a note with his name on it and Mia's number.

Leon: Got it. I'll go let Ralph know what the plan is.

(Leon leaves out as Dom look back at his son.)

Dom: Im going to get you back to mami and I'm going to make this all right again.

(So the next day was filled with making sure Leon had a map and everything he needed for the trip. Carmen decided to tag along to make sure Little B was comfortable and didn't take a turn for the worst. Dom with a bad leg and all got his plan together to make it look like he was dead. He felt bad knowing how Letty and Mia was going to take it, but he had to if he wanted to protect his family.)

(In Costa Rica, everyone was going out of their minds as they try to come up with a plan to find Dante. Letty has barely eaten since they arrived and Mia was becoming concerned. Letty was staring off into space as she caressed the ring on her chain. Out the corner of her eye she saw that the news was on causing her to turn and look.)

(NEWSBREAK)

(HERE IN PORTUGAL, we have just received the news that a body has been found. No identify as far as yet, but I can tell you that it's a male, about 6 feet, he was also wearing a silver cross around his neck. We will have more once we get more information on the body that was discovered.)

(Unable to move or even speak tears runs down her face as she takes in every detail the lady had said. As she was about to try and get up the bedroom door burst open and Mia is standing there with tears streaming down her face.)

Letty: (voice shakes) Mia?

Mia: I seen.

Letty: (face crumble) That..that can't...be him. Mia that's not Dom.

(Mia rushes towards her and kneels down in front of her holding her face.)

Mia: (cries) We don't know if it's him.

Letty: I need to get to him. I need to see if...oh god, they haven't found Bri. It's been too long, he was just a baby Mia.

(Letty not able to speak anymore breaks down with heart-wrenching sobs. Mia embraces her tight as she holds her sister as she cries against her. Everyone downstairs either have tears in their eyes or crying for the lost of their friend, or their family.)

(The next day, Mia, Brian, and Letty was on their way to Portugal to ID the body. It took two days and by the time they got there, Letty looked like she was knocking on death's door. She threw up three times on the way there and she felt like she could drop at any given moment.)

(They finally makes it to the morgue and she gives them her name and they are taken to the back. They stand there nervously waiting at the glass for the doctor to pull the cover back. Letty takes a deep breath just as he was pulling it back and she stops breathing.)

Doctor: Is it him?

Letty: (looks at the body) Can I come in?

Doctor: The body is badly decomposed.

Letty: I need to see him for myself.

(He nods and she moves away from the glass and opens the door. She slowly makes her way to the table and stand beside him. Her eyes roam over his body as she tries to look for any scars or marks she knows. Tears blur her vision as she spots a few she remembers like it was yesterday as she bites her lip.)

Doctor: Is this him?

Letty: They said that he was wearing a silver cross?

Doctor: Umm yeah, huge nothing like I've never seen before. I have it here.

(He moves back to go get the chain and places it into Letty's hand and once she feels it, she knows. Her knees buckle as a sob cry breaks through her dry lips. Mia rushes through the door and envelopes Letty in her arms as they cry together.)

Letty: (cries hard) It's him. It's him, Mia.

Mia: Shhh, shhhh it's going to be ok.

Letty: It wasn't supposed to be like this.

Mia: I know. Got dammit Dom.

(Letty cling onto Mia as her heart shatters into a million pieces. She had just confirmed that the body on the table was indeed her husband's, and to make matters worse, they hadn't found her son yet. Brian walks in and kneels behind both of them and hugs them as he buries his head in Mia's hair. They stay like that until there were no more tears and Letty was too weak to focus on anything else.)
