„Because that's the thing with faith. You meet it on the way, you tried to avoid".

She sighed quietly, while the snoring next to her grew louder. Her eyes stayed out of the window, watching the pollen swaying in the wind and the birds flying over the sky, drawing their circles.

How nice.
She couldn't help but ask herself, how they felt. Just starting to fly, no matter where it took them. Just into the distance, with nothing holding them back. Seeing the world from above, escape everything.
It was almost something to be envious of.

„Naruto Uzumaki".

Ivana sighed again. Under the table, she bumped her foot against his shin, trying to get his attention, as Iruka-sensei was starting to get impatient by his sleeping.
He flinched out of his sleep, jumped a little in his heat and blinked a few times to get rid of his dozing.

Sensei Iruka scoffed annoyed, his eyebrows lifted in anticipation.
„W-What?", the blonde boy mumbled, his voice still filled with haziness. And while some started laughing or making unnecessary mean comments, the sensei sighed „Come to the front and produce a clone".

Naruto let his head hanging between his shoulders, while once again the room was filled with rude comments and jokes.
Ivana leaned her chin on her palm, tried to tune out the noises. The cruel jokes and hurtful comments.

Eventually. Naruto rose from his seat, since there was no way around it anyway, and walked in front of the class.
No question, he failed. And once again, it amused the whole class. It was always the same.

The girl, sitting next to him in class, was the only one not laughing or making comments. She didn't understand, why it was even something to laugh about. Why she should laugh about it. It wasn't any of her business.

„Sit down", Iruka mumbled annoyed and rubbed the back of his nose, before looking up again „Ivana Yazo, your turn".
It was Ivanas turn to rise from her seat and passing Naruto, as she walked in front of the class.

Again, rude comments.
„Why even testing her?"
„Hm. Of course the freak can do it".

She didn't care much about it.
She really didn't know, how often she heard the same comments over and over again. So often, that ‚Freak' was almost her name by now. So she ignored the unoriginal insults and focused.
Like always.

Calmly, she stood in front of Iruka, made the hand seals and spoke, typically quietly, „Jutsu of the fire clone".
In seconds, five exact copies of her stood in front of the sensei, who nodded proudly and smiled „Excellent, Ivana".

The sensei was used to Ivana being an impressive student. She had unbelievable potential and should have started with the academy way younger, if it would have been his choice.

Ivana lowered her head shortly in a quiet ‚Thank you' and moved back to her place.
„Five, tch".
„Seriously. One is asked. But she gotta show off again".
„Weird freak after all".
„Haha, if no one likes her, At least the teacher do".

„Just be quiet", Naruto's voice echoed irritated, like it did so often. Whenever the comments got too loud, he spoke up for her. And she really never understood why he did.
She wasn't his friend.
Not because it was him, but because she was simply no one's friend.

So she just laid her hand on his shoulder and shook her head shortly.
She wasn't bothered by any of it. It's nothing new after all.
Especially, since it only made him the center of even more bad attention and comments. As if he didn't get enough of that on his own.

„I still don't like it, when someone talked bad about you", the blonde boy mumbled, leaned on his arms, which were resting on the table.
Ivana looked at him through the corners of her eyes, her expression not changing much. She really didn't understand, why he would do any of that.
