It wasn’t long before Suryadev, aware of the fate that had befallen his son, appeared before Kunti. This time, the divine god was not the benevolent, radiant being she had once known. His face was darkened with anger, and his form blazed with a fury that shook the heavens themselves.
"You have betrayed me, Kunti," Suryadev voice thundered, causing the very earth to quake beneath her feet. "You called me, and I granted your request. Yet you have cast aside my son as if he were nothing but a burden to you. You have abandoned him to a world that will reject him. And for what? Out of fear of what others might think?"
Kunti fell to her knees, overwhelmed by the crushing weight of Suryadev anger. She could not find the words to explain, nor did she have the strength to defend herself. "Suryadev… I… I could not keep him," she whispered, her voice breaking with guilt. "The world would never accept him. My family, my kingdom, they would have cast us aside. I could not bear the shame."
Suryadev eyes glowed with an intensity that burned like the sun itself, but there was a flicker of something deeper a sorrow that mingled with the flames of his fury. "Do you think I am immune to your pain, Kunti?" he thundered, his voice trembling with grief. "Do you think I do not feel the sting of betrayal? I gave you a son a gift that was meant to be a blessing. And yet you abandoned him. You have betrayed both him and me."
For a moment, Suryadev wrath seemed to fade, his fiery gaze softening with a deep, cosmic sorrow. "I am the Sun, Kunti. I give life, I bring warmth, I protect the world. But you have cast my light away. You have sent my son to suffer. And that suffering, that pain, will be with him until the end of his days."
Kunti, unable to meet his gaze, wept silently, her heart breaking as the weight of her choice crushed her. "Please," she whispered, her voice barely audible, "I never meant for this to happen."
But Suryadev divine form began to blaze once again, his voice rising with the full fury of the heavens. "You have broken my trust, Kunti, and for this, you will carry the burden of your actions for the rest of your life. You will watch your son grow strong, magnificent, but filled with pain and you will never be able to ease his suffering. You will never be able to protect him. The guilt of this choice will haunt you forever."
And yet, even in his anger, Suryadev heart could not abandon his son completely. His voice softened, though still heavy with divine sadness. "But Karna will not walk alone. Whenever he finds himself at the crossroads of dharma and adharma, whenever the world seeks to pull him into darkness, I will come to him. I will guide him, for I am his father, and he will carry my essence with him."
And then, Suryadev spoke the words that would define Karna’s very existence: "But my son, Karna, you will also carry my essence within you. You will embody my qualities—my compassion, my strength, my unyielding sense of justice. You will be benevolent in a world that will scorn you. You will never abandon those who need you, even when the world turns its back on you. You will be unyielding in the face of hardship, just as I am in the heavens. My light will shine within you, and though you may falter, you will always know the way back to the path of righteousness."
Suryadev form radiated with a brilliant light as he continued, his voice now both stern and compassionate: "Karna will carry the divine armor and earrings, a protection that will appear whenever he faces danger. This armor will be his shield, his second skin, for he will be a warrior like no other, but you will also carry the burden of your divine birth. The world will see you as something other than human, and they will not understand you. But in that, you will learn to be strong in ways that no other can. You will be unmatched in your abilities, but also unmatched in your suffering. You will endure, my son, and my light will never leave you."
As Suryadev divine form began to fade, his voice carried one final message: "Walk the earth with the strength of the sun, my son, and remember, in your darkest moments, my light will always find you."
With that, Surya vanished, leaving Kunti on the riverbank, her heart heavy with the weight of his words and her own regret.
With a final, sorrowful sigh, Surya vanished into the sky, leaving Kunti broken and alone, the weight of both his curse and his blessing heavy on her soul. The child she had abandoned would one day become the greatest warrior the world had ever known, but his path would be one of untold pain and Kunti would watch, powerless, as it unfolded.
