Lenora rubbed her eyes a few times as she somehow ran through a brick wall. She almost didn't believe her sisters when they said that was how to get to platform nine and three-quarters, and was inclined to believe Tatum was playing a trick on her. The girl was quickly proved wrong. However, when she found herself on the other side of the wall, her sisters grinned widely beside her.

Lenora took the time to take in her surroundings, and there it was: the Hogwarts Express she had heard so much about, its crimson paint gleaming beneath a veil of steam. The train's soft rumble harmonised with the clamour of hundreds of families. Parents hugged their children goodbye, some weeping, some offering stern advice, while students darted through the crowd, wands flicking excitedly. Lenora stood frozen for a moment, gripping the handle of her worn trunk so tightly her knuckles ached, trying to anchor herself in this surreal new world.

Shauna's screech made her and Tatum jump as they watched her run through the sea of families. Lenora followed her sister's gaze to see a red-haired girl also weaving through the crowd. The two collided with a force that nearly toppled them both, their laughter ringing above the platform's chaos.

Tatum rolled her eyes, standing beside Lenora with her trunk in hand and a scarlet scarf wrapped around the handle. "You'd think they hadn't just seen each other two months ago."

"That's Margot?" Lenora asked, gesturing toward the red-haired girl.

Tatum nodded, rolling on the balls of her feet. "Yup."

Lenora watched her sister and Margot hug with a pang of envy; she had prayed on the stars every night that she would make a best friend like Shauna had. Every single painted star on the walls of their bedroom, she wished on each one. Shauna and Margot seemed to be destined to become best friends, from what her sister would tell her, and Lenora hoped she would even have half of what those girls shared.

After the two third years had reunited, they walked back to the girls with big smiles on their faces. Lenora thought Margot looked very friendly, her face bright and warm that must've seemed inviting to everyone she had met. Another redhead, smaller and more reserved, trailed shyly behind her.

"You must be Lenora!" She exclaimed, wrapping her in a hug so unexpectedly Lenora barely had time to react. "I'm Margot, and this is my sister, Lily. She's in the same year as you. Hey Tatum!"

Lenora waved happily to the younger redhead before she returned the gesture.

"Right!" Shauna clasped her hands together, lifting her trunk, "Let's grab a carriage before they're all taken."

The sisters said their goodbyes to the Evans girls for now, each splitting off to settle into separate compartments. Lenora trailed behind Shauna and Tatum, her excitement barely contained. Her nerves buzzed like an overcharged spell.
