While Queen Ileenkha rested, King Amias had summoned the royal council to dictate a new law, which displeased many, causing a stir among the rebels.

King Amias decreed that the one who would inherit the throne after his death would be his firstborn, in this case his daughter Darius Leatharya Drekhyneian, princess of Brigreodiam of Starya, who had been born during the night. The new law resonated throughout the kingdom, unleashing diverse reactions: the first... that of celebration and joy in some, the second: anger, jealousy, and envy in others.

It was unheard of, inadmissible, that a woman be proclaimed the reigning queen.
According to some, she was not worthy; according to others, she was the one who would lead the kingdom to an era of glory and riches, for she was the daughter of King Amias and Queen Ileenkha. The princess was the bearer of the ancient white blood, daughter of a prince and a princess of blue blood, daughter of the purest monarchy that existed.

She was destined to bring greatness to the kingdom of Brigreodiam of Starya.
She was the princess with the purest monarchical lineage that had existed in two hundred years.

But the discontent of the rebels was greater, and the leader of the opposition group was none other than Lucían, Amias's brother.

Two days after Darius was born and one day after Amias had declared her the sole and legitimate heir to the throne of Brigreodiam of Starya, Lucían led the troops that would dethrone King Amias and Queen Ileenkha.
During the night, he entered the palace with the help of some infiltrated guards, breaking down all the security that was there that night. Which was ideal for Lucían and his group, there would be reduced guard, the rebel guards would be on duty that night, and they had left some tertiary service doors open.

It was the perfect opportunity.

There would be no other chance like that in who knows how long.

Lucían entered through the north side door where Sheila, Ileenkha's personal maid, was waiting for him.
He had been seducing the young maid, promising her that when he took the throne, she would occupy the throne of her former mistress.

—Go up, the queen is in her personal alcove resting— she indicated where he should go to avoid being seen, he wasn't very welcome there. Lucían kissed her and entered.
But he took a different corridor and came out in front of Sheila, she smiled in surprise.

Lucían cut her throat.

—Don't be mistaken, you would never be more than you are now—  he whispered, dragging her as she choked on her own blood.

He hid her in a small room and left her there, bleeding, alone, and deceived by a love she believed was perfect.

Lucían climbed the stairs and crossed the corridors he knew where nobody would see him. In the distance, the screams of families from the surrounding area could be heard, screams of women and children, young men, adults, and the elderly asking for help.

Houses and stalls burned to the ground, women and girls raped, men and the elderly brutally murdered. Robberies, deaths, atrocious unjustifiable acts.

But it was all Amias's fault for having named a woman as heir to the throne and not him. It was also the fault of his parents for leaving Amias as heir.

In the palace, the screams and lights did not wait, the rooms were ransacked and overturned by the rebels, the first rooms to be invaded were those of the guards who were sleeping, being brutally murdered or mortally wounded.

Next, the service rooms, the maids who were sleeping soundly, in one of the rooms, the maids got up confused and startled, not understanding what the guard was shouting at them.
