It was now 9:43 a.m on a Monday. The illustrious U.A highschool stood proud in it's gates. The sun was shining, no cloud was in sight, no press trying to barge inside. Yet two students walked towards the gate, talking as they approached the school."Why do you think they invited us so late?" A girl with a big, poofy afro looked at her friend. She wore the normal female uniform with some pins she had on standby, giving the bland thing some style. "They wanted to see if they could handle people like us— who actually know what they're doing." The boy replied, scoffing. He wore the male uniform, though instead of the standard tie, he wore his own decorated dark red tie. "Well that's only because of who raised us." The girl sighed as they reached the gate which opened upon their arrival.
They walked up the pathway and into the building, greeted by their two friends who'd been attending the school since day one.— it was only day two but still.
"Finally you're here. How are you going to be late on your first day?" Izuku Midoriya, one of their closest friends. He was kind, and a light in this dark world. "I expected more of you, Kai, Saige." Shinsou Hitoshi, their other close friend who loved getting on Kai's thinning nerves.
Kai snarled at the purple haired boy. "At least we're here, so can we get to class or what?" Deku chuckled before leading everyone towards class 1-A, on the way he explained where places were, like the place where their hero suits would get upgrades, where the cafeteria was, and other places. They had seperated with Shinso along the way since he was in the support course.
The three approached the door to their class. "I'll go in first and tell Mr. Aizawa." The green haired boy stepped inside, some of his classmates asking where he went, to which he replied: "I went to go get something for Mr. Aizawa!" and they believed him— not that he lied. Aizawa had told his class to quiet down, and that there were two new students joining them, hence the two empty desks. The class quieted down, saving their questions for after.
"Come in." Aizawa said, standing in his sleeping bag. The two students opened the door, stepping inside. They stood in front of all twenty students, watching as 40 eyes scanned them. "Introduce yourselves, including your quirk and such." The teacher seemed to get more sleepy as he spoke.
Kai and Saige looked at each other, a silent conversation between them deciding who would go first. Kai stepped up, taking his hands out of his pockets. "My name is Kai Uroko. I'm 15, and my quirk is dragon. No— I'm no where related to the pro hero Ryukyu. I can turn into a dragon, but I have a larger wingspan than her, and I can breathe and control fire." He looked back at Aizawa, as if asking for approval for something, Aizawa nodded. "And Aizawa is my adopted father."
The class began to whisper, but was quieted by their teacher's glare. Saige then stepped up, "My name is Saige Mizuo, I'm also 15 and my quirk is siren. Like the mythological monster I can use my voice to lure people in and control them. I can also control water to use at my own will." She trailed off, using her hand to pick out her afro. "I'm not adopted by Aizawa but I basically live there." She shrugs.
The class quickly began raising up with questions. "One at a time please—" Saige raised her hands, calming everyone. Then a boy with spikey red hair raised his hand, "How come you both came to school so late?" Kai noticed the boy's sharp teeth, wondering if their quirks were compatible some way— he had been made fun of for his sharp teeth. "The school had to prepare for us coming since only twenty students are supposed to be here." Saige explained.
Then a black haired girl with a ponytail raised her hand, "Are there any side affects to your quirks?" Saige looked at Kai, who scoffed and looked off. "If I breathe too much fire, my throat will dry up and I shed my scales one or two times a month." He shifted uncomfortably.
"No matter how big you get or whatever fire you can make I could still beat your ass!" Kai felt his eyebrow twitch. "Oh, you wanna go?" Kai bared his teeth at the boy, smoke coming from his mouth. The red-eyed kid stood, his left leg on his desk. "Come at me!" But he was pulled down by Izuku, quickly letting go as to not get punched. "Calm down Kai." Izuku chuckled nervously, Bakugo stumbled back, wondering how Izuku knew Kai and Saige— He thought he was his only 'friend'.
"Alright, settle down. Take your seats you two." Aizawa took his sleeping bag off, placing it behind the podium. Kai blew out a puff of smoke as Saige pat his back as they sat in their seats. "Later today All Might will be coming in to give an announcement. For now, do your work or whatever.." Everyone stared at their teacher, wondering if he was genuinely qualified for the job.

Before they knew it, it was English class with Present Mic. This was one of the normal classes, and the class where no one wanted to be there. No one was thinking about grammar, but that was expected when the number one hero was supposed to visit— who could contain their excitement?
Kai yawned in his seat, black smoke leaving his throat as he did. Hopefully his yawning won't set off any fire alarm— Saige and Deku were writing notes. Silence fell over the classroom besides the answering of questions and Mic teaching. Kai grabbed his pencil, tapping it against his desk softly in a specific manner.
'Is All Might seriously going to visit our class specifically?'
Izuku paused his note taking, tapping his pencil against his paper. 'He didn't specify why but yeah. Don't get too bothered alright?' A scoff would come from the scaled boy. Saige stopped her note taking as well, 'Ain't lunch after this?'
'You're seriously thinking about food?'
'A girl's gotta eat, Izu.'
'Almost roasting blondie there burned up most of my stored food.'
'His name is Bakugo, y'know.'
'The same Bakugo who bullied you?'No reply came from the green haired boy as the bell rang for lunch. Everyone grabbed their bags and started leaving. "You guys can eat without me today!" Midoriya smiled at a brown haired girl and a boy with engines in his calfs. They waved off and walked with the rest of the group.
The trio began to walk out together, their bags on their backs or in hand. "I don't like him." Kai grumbled, breaking the silence. "No offense, but you don't like anyone, Kai." Izuku scratched his cheek as he chuckled. "He's still the same old Kacchan.. just steer clear of him." Izuku shrugged, thinking of the interactions they've had so far.
"Just based off that first meeting.. I don't think Kai and Bakugo will get along much.." Saige sighed. "Why'd we have to start school right before I start shedding." Kai muttered to himself, shifting his body. Saige's water couldn't help him either— quirks aren't allowed during class, only training.
After more walking, they reached the cafeteria. Students went to go get their lunch made by Cook Hero: Lunch Rush. Unable to control his excitement, Izuku had stars in his eyes when Lunch Rush had come by.

Now it was early afternoon— perfect for training. Kai was picking at his scales, noticing swift movement going through the halls. He tapped a finger on his desk, "Look alive, number one's here." On cue, the door slid open revealing the number one hero in Japan: All Might!
"I am here!" All Might barged in, his cape flowing inside. "Coming through the door like a hero!"
