Cassandra's alarm goes off. It reads "5:30 AM". Cassandra sits up and gets out of bed.
She walks over to her dresser and pulls out a pair of leggings, a t-shirt, her softball jacket, and grabs her headphones off of the top of the dresser and puts on her music. She goes down the hallway to the bathroom with her clothes in hand.
Cassandra gets changed into her clothes for the day. She brushes her teeth and then takes her headphones off so that she can straighten her hair and put it into a ponytail. She puts her hoop earrings in and takes a look at herself in the mirror and smiles. She puts her headphones back on and puts her phone into her pocket and then heads downstairs.
Her dad is already there making his coffee. Cassandra turns off her music and then takes her headphones off and puts them around her neck so that she can greet her dad. "Good morning," he greets. "Morning dad," Cassandra says, giving her dad a hug. Her dad kisses the top of her head. They let go. "I'm going to go and work a bit, I'll be in my office if you need me," her dad says. "Yeah, yeah, I know the drill," Cassandra says rolling her eyes but with a smile on her face. "Love you," he says and then heads off in the direction of his office. "I love you too," Cassandra replies, walking over to a cabinet.
She grabs a cup and fills it with water and then opens up a different cabinet and takes a pill case out. She empties the contents of the one that reads "Mon AM" into her hand and takes the pills. She then puts the pill case back into the cabinet and closes it.
"Alright, lunch making time," Cassandra says, putting her headphones back on. She washes her hands and then goes and grabs stuff around the kitchen to make her lunch. She makes a turkey sandwich and packs a few other snacks as well. She fills up her water bottle. She makes a strawberry banana smoothie for breakfast. Her dad comes out of his office. "Are you ready to go?" He asks. Cassandra nods her head while taking a sip of her smoothie.
Cassandra grabs her bookbag, water bottle, book, lunchbox, smoothie, and mysterious envelope from the counter and takes a deep breath and then heads towards the door. Her dad sees the envelope and asks about it. Cassandra has her hand on the doorknob and freezes. "Oh, it's just something I wanted to send to grandma," Cassandra lies, not wanting to tell her dad what the letter actually contained and definitely not who it was actually supposed to go to. "Ok," her dad says, suspicious, but doesn't question it any further.
They go out the door and Cassandra goes over to the mailbox and takes a deep breath and puts the letter in the mail box, closes the lid, and puts the flag up before heading back over to her dad. "Ready sweetie?" Her dad asks. Cassandra takes a deep breath and nods her head. They get in the car and head to school.

What's inside the letter? And who's it REALLY going to Cassandra??
A/N:
Hi! This is my first time publishing my work for the world to see! I hope you enjoy it and constructive criticism is always welcome! (P.S. If my paragraph separation is wrong, I apologize, I don't separate my writing into paragraphs when I'm only writing for myself, its easier if I just write it in one big blob :))
