Chapter 28

Billy leaned down, his fangs ready to dig into Becky's neck. Just as he was about to bite down, the curtain to the booth flung open. Billy looked up to find the booth now filled with three women. They circled him and dragged him up and away from Becky. "Who are you?" He asked confused trying to break free from Fay's grasp. "We ask the questions here. What do you want with the girl?" Billy tried to push her off and escape but Fay slammed him into the wall. "You're not going anywhere. Answer the question!" Billy looked around at them and over to Becky who was being examined by Pear. "I was just having a snack." He looked at Fay with an innocent look but she sustained her serious look. "How is she?" Fay asked over her shoulder. "Seems like they drugged her. She's breathing but she will probably be out for a while." The curtain opened up again and in walked Faye and Heidi dragging View and Victor in. "Found the other two." Faye spat as she looked at them up and down with anger.

"So you mean to tell me you all went through all this trouble for a simple human and all you wanted was to suck her blood? I'm not buying it! Who are you working for and what do you want with the girl?" Fay demanded as she forced her forearm into Billy's throat. "I..don't...know...what you...are talking...about." Billy said as Fay's arm dug deeper into his throat. Faye threw View and Victor on the floor. "Maybe we should rip it out of them." She said cracking her knuckles. Heidi placed her arm on Faye's stopping her from advancing on them. "Woah, woah! Chill!" Victor said putting his hands up. "We had no idea you had dibs on the girl, we are just following instructions." He glanced over at View and Billy who gave him a warning look. "Elaborate!" Fay demanded as they all circled around Victor and View. "I don't know, we just do what he says." He motioned to Billy who was giving him a deadly look. "Yeah, we're new to this whole vampire shit. We were promised a good time and a very good meal. We did what we were told and got the girl to drink, can we go now?" View asked leaning on Victor for comfort. The girls looked them up and down and exchanged glances trying to tell if they were telling the truth. Fay dropped Billy and pushed him down on the floor next to the other two. She pulled out her phone and began texting someone. "Who turned you?" Heidi asked looking concerned. View and Victor looked at each other then at Billy. Faye slammed her fist into the nearby table creating a hole in it and startling them. "She asked  you a question!" She barked as she stared them down. "It was him." View said timidly and pointed to Billy. Fay leaned down to be eye level with Billy who was clearly upset. "Are you stupid or do you have no care for the Counts Code?"

Billy looked off to the side avoiding Fay's eyes but his face was quickly forced back to look her in the eyes by her strong hand. "Answer the question. Are you stupid or just a degenerate?" He scoffed at her. "I think he's stupid and doesn't know the code." Faye said. He looked over at Faye who was staring him down like he was trash. "I'm not stupid." He spat out angrily. "Oh so you're just a degenerate?" Faye asked mockingly. He stood up and lunged at her missing her by an inch before Faye shocked him sending lightning through his body. He fell limp on the floor breathing heavily. "Nice try idiot." Faye mocked, hovering over him and smiling devilishly. Heidi pulled her back and shook her head at her and Faye simply rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "He started it." She mumbled under her breath. "What about you two?" They looked down at the injured Billy and shook their heads. "We're just stupid." Victor quickly replied. "Yeah we've only been vampires a couple of days. We're just trying to quench our thirst." View added. Fay shook her head and sighed. "Well although you might be unquenchably thirsty, you can't just go around feeding on humans. There are codes you must adhere to. There is a list of rules all vampire's must follow if they want to survive and the first code is that our vampire identity must remain hidden to all humans. We must not let them know vampires exist or make them aware of our supernatural powers. The second code is that we must not turn humans into vampires or feed on them. The third code is that we must not become romantically involved with a human or fall in love with them. There are many more but these are the most important ones." Victor and View looked at each other dumbfounded.
