MY LITTLE FUNGUS: EQUESTRIA'S DARKEST DAYS

Applejack then spoke up. "Uh, one small problem with that, Twi', how would we even find it in the first place?" She asked.

Suddenly, there was a faint but still loud scream that erupted from the other side of town.

"..I think that's your answer," Twilight said, her eyes wide as they looked over to Applejack. "We need the Elements now."

And with that, the mane six had started to gallop quickly to the area the scream came from, save Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Twilight in flight. Twilight and Fluttershy opted not to go forward, not wanting to split up, but Rainbow Dash had her plans. "I'm going to go on ahead! Try to get a scope of the situation for you guys before you come in there hooves blazin'!" Rainbow Dash said, and before any of the other five could tell her off, she was already gone, flying towards the house at high speeds.

Soon, Rainbow Dash touched down near the house, however, her confidence was undermined by the sound of faint crying coming from the home as well as... dripping sounds.. animalistic snarling.. and.. chewing sounds. Rainbow Dash looked behind herself to see if she could at least see her friends catching up, but she hadn't seen them down the street yet. She looked back towards the house, raising a hoof towards herself in fear; a pony's most natural instinctual reaction to the unknown. She let her hoof down from herself, as she took a deep breath, and started to slowly approach the open ajar door. She slowly peeks into it, but it's pitch black. She can't make out anything, except what she believes is the movement of two figures.

She wants to say something but feels as if she's mute. She slowly creeps her hoof up the wall in search of a light switch, and when she feels one, she speaks. "..u-um..is anypony the--" She stopped speaking the second she turned on the light switch. The sight she was gruesome--no, more than gruesome, absolutely vile. Her eyes widened as they processed it.

Inside the house, as the light turned on, it unveiled a large, creature... pony-like. A normal pony below it, and it was very obvious that whatever the creature was had a significant size difference, about as big as Princess Celestia. From the bottom up, the hooves had claws, Its legs were much larger, and much more defined and toned, obviously muscular and strong. Its stomach seemed nearly non-existent, the thing looking severely malnourished and skinny, to where the vertebrae of its spine were sticking out of the skin. It was also filthy, Its mane was dirty and ruffled, its body bloody and dirty, and its coat ruffled, and its mane was in the same condition. A kind of dirty that would make Rarity vomit. Its neck seemed much longer than normal, and moving to the sight... Its head was reared down at the Pony below its stomach, and its large jaw and carnivorous teeth were.. eating it. Tearing the pony apart. And its face... dear Celestia its face... it was full of blood, its eyes large, pupils small, as it stared dead into Rainbow Dash's soul, as it held a large chunk of the pony below its flesh in its mouth, blood dripping from it which was what was producing the dripping sound heard when she was approaching the house.

The thing then dropped the chunk of flesh out of its mouth, and hit the ground with a wet "plop" sound, as it started to approach her. Rainbow Dash wasn't taking any chances standing there, paralyzed with fear any longer, and started to back up before the thing lunged at her at unexpected speeds. Rainbow Dash's reaction time boded faster, however; as she was able to quickly unfold and bounce up into the air with her wings, where it couldn't catch her.

She then heard gasps and high-pitched squeals behind her, as her head whipped around, seeing her friends. She noticed Twilight was especially concerned and even slightly guilty, but that's something to be questioned later. For now, this thing needs to hit the road.

"Help me run this thing off!"

The others looked anxious but ready. Twilight used some magic to mess with it, and Applejack attempted to lure it. This worked, as it started to chase her. Applejack ran, but she underestimated its speed, as it started to catch up, Applejack decided to skid to a stop so it would overshoot and run past her, and she did just that, as the thing stopped too, it stared, before eyeing the other five approaching, and turning around, running.

"Aha! Yeah! You better run!" Rainbow Dash yelled, as she was about to fly back towards it, Twilight came up behind her just in time to grab her tail in her mouth and yank it back, Rainbow Dash let out a small wince before looking back at Twilight, a small, awkward grin playing on her face.
