Commander “so that's it then? She wasn't there?”
M4 “yes however we can trace her Signal if we get through all the encrypted data”
Commander “good work I'll get this to Helianthus you guys can wait here while I give her the report” she said before walking into the next room, the door closing behind her
Once the commander was gone
Sopmod “so Alpha?”
Alpha stretched her arms over her head.
Alpha “What is it?”
Sopmod “how can you do that? I mean, move super quickly. You tore those Sangvis apart like they were nothing!”
Alpha crossed her arms “all constructs can do that.”
Sopmod “really? If it's something mass produced with whatever model you are, do you think I can look at it?” She asked
AR-15 “Sopmod no just no” she said, sighing
Sopmod “awww” she said, disappointed
Alpha “even if you were to get it installed into your frames. You wouldn't be able to use it due to your processing power. It doesn't consume that much energy for me, but for you guys. After using it once, you would die.” she said, turning to Sopmod “so if you want to use it, then you will have to become a construct and not a T-doll.”
Sopmod almost seemed disappointed
M4 “don't worry, Sopmod, you're already perfect the way you are”
Sopmod “really? Thanks, M4!” She said, being happy again
AR-15 “so if it consumes so much, how powerful is your battery?”
Alpha “powerful. Far more than what the whole base is capable of. And made more so by the punishing virus.”
M16 “Punishing Virus?” She said, raising her one eyebrow
Everyone moved away from her slightly
Alpha scoffed “you guys would have been affected by it the moment you first made contact with me. And besides, another sign that you would have been infected is killing each other without being able to stop it. And since you aren't doing that. You are all fine.”
M16 “that's a relief can't let a virus take me down after all I've been through”
Alpha “we also never found a way to stop it, just holding it off, or joining the ascension network.”
AR-15 “ascension network? Is it like our Zener Protocol?”
Alpha “Zener Protocol?” It was Alpha's turn to be confused now.
M16 “it's how we communicate non verbally with each other, with the commander this allows us to work independently to a extent we assumed since you aren't on Zener Protocol which would explain why you have to physically communicate with the commander and us, that your network would be similar to ours”
Alpha “I see. In a way I do have something similar to that. We call it the M.I.N.D. System, I'm not going into detail about that. As for the ascension network. That allows ascendants to gain additional power through the punishing virus. And the punishing virus is always speaking, even when you don't want it to. If you want more power, then you first must become a construct and absorb as much of it while you believe in a wish you want. I just used my will power to get back into the ascension network.”
AR-15 was about to speak up but the commander walked in
Commander “alright girls we have our new orders”
