The boutique was quiet and pristine, the dim lighting giving the rows of gowns and suits an ethereal glow. Jungkook had spared no effort in ensuring the session would be private, scheduling it well after the shop's usual hours to accommodate their unique circumstances. The shop assistants, sworn to confidentiality, greeted them warmly as they entered.
"Thank you for accommodating us," Jungkook said with a polite nod, his hand resting lightly on Seokjin's back.
"It's our pleasure," the lead assistant replied, smiling warmly. "We've prepared several options for Mr. Kim based on the details you provided. If you'd like to follow me?"
Seokjin tilted his head, a playful smile curling at his lips. "I hope you're ready for my high standards," he teased, earning a chuckle from Jungkook.
"Don't worry," Jungkook replied smoothly. "I already warned them."
Jimin trailed behind them, his eyes darting around the luxurious shop. "This place is fancier than I expected," he muttered, glancing at a glittering display of cufflinks. "You sure you don't want to buy the whole store, Jungkook?"
"Not yet," Jungkook quipped, guiding Seokjin toward a plush fitting area surrounded by mirrors.
As the session began, Seokjin was ushered behind a set of heavy curtains to try on the first of many suits. The shop assistants moved quickly, adjusting collars, pinning hems, and offering suggestions with professional precision.
Jungkook and Jimin waited on a velvet couch, the former tapping his fingers idly against his knee while the latter inspected a rack of bow ties.
When Seokjin stepped out in the first suit-a classic black ensemble with a sleek, modern cut-the room seemed to pause.
"Well?" Seokjin asked, striking a pose that was more dramatic than necessary. "Do I look like a groom?"
Jungkook's lips twitched into a smile as he stood, circling Seokjin slowly. "You look perfect," he said softly, his voice filled with sincerity.
Jimin snorted, though there was no hiding the affection in his gaze. "Perfect? He looks like a penguin in that," he teased, earning a glare from Seokjin.
"Penguins are charming," Seokjin shot back, puffing his chest slightly. "But fine, let's see what else they have."
The next hour was filled with laughter and banter as Seokjin tried on suit after suit. Some were sleek and elegant, others bold and unconventional. Each time he emerged, Jimin and Jungkook offered their critiques, ranging from genuine compliments to playful jabs.
"Too shiny," Jimin said of a silver suit.
"Too plain," Jungkook said of a navy one.
"Too much like your style," Seokjin retorted, sticking out his tongue as he disappeared behind the curtain again.
The shop assistants watched the trio with amused smiles, their professional demeanor softening in the face of such genuine camaraderie.
Eventually, Seokjin stepped out in a suit that seemed to silence the room. It was a deep, midnight black with subtle gold accents woven into the fabric, tailored perfectly to his frame. The design was understated yet regal, exuding an air of timeless elegance.
Jungkook stood, his breath catching as he took in the sight. "That's the one," he said softly, his voice laced with awe.
Seokjin's cheeks flushed slightly, though he tried to hide it behind a playful smirk. "Of course it is. I have impeccable taste."
Jimin, who had been unusually quiet for the past few minutes, smiled faintly. His gaze lingered on Seokjin, a strange mix of pride and emotion flickering in his eyes.
