The day was finally here. The day me and my dear Rengoku will finally join ourselves and become husband and wife. During the night before I swear that I wasn't able to sleep one bit from all of the excitement and anxiety that I was feeling inside of me. Before the sun was up I already had breakfast ready so we could all eat before leaving. Once my aunt, uncle and Satomi were awake they all seemed surprised that I was already up and had everything ready. My uncle chuckled and commented how I was already acting like a perfect housewife before I was proclaimed one. I blushed as we sat down to eat.

While we ate my aunt talked me out on everything I should expect for the wedding ceremony and how I should portray myself. I listened to her carefully and nodded. Any advice was welcome at that point. What was odd was that Satomi was weirdly quiet. In fact, she hasn't said a word to me ever since I stood up to her at my Bachelorette Party. Which was good since I don't have to deal with her anymore. The least she had spoken wasn't even towards me, but to her father and it was always to ask for money so she can buy new clothes, makeup and jewelry.
My uncle was a very absent man and would travel constantly for his work to bring in money to his family. Aunt Saori never complained since it was thanks to him that she and her daughter could have a more comfortable life, although I could tell that there wasn't any love shared between them.

I am thankful for them having taken me in after I lost my parents and my house, but I still aspired not to be anything like them when it comes to my marriage with Kyojuro. Yes, his duty as a Hashira might make him distant for a few days. But I'll make sure to nurture our love for each other every moment we're together. Even when he's far away I'll always think of him and make sure that everything is in order for when he comes back. My heart thudded in my chest when I imagined us living together. To think that we are so close to that....
Once we were all done with breakfast it was time to go to the train station so we could head to Rengoku's Estate and meet with his family before the ceremony. I was quiet on my way there that Satomi's sickness complaints fell deaf in my ears as my mind was filled with thoughts on how my wedding would be like. I was so anxious I felt butterflies in my stomach. I couldn't help but imagine if Kyojuro was feeling the same way.

Once we were finally at Kyojuro's town I was the one to guide them towards his Estate. Thankfully I had a good memory and was able to find his Estate easily. When we made it there I noticed that they were very surprised at the size of his house. Especially my uncle and Satomi, who gave me a jealous sneer. But I paid her no mind, after all, I wasn't marrying Rengoku because he's well off. We are getting married because we love each other and want to spend the rest of our existence together. And that's something she'll never understand the real meaning of if she keeps being so money and status minded.

Soon, I rang the doorbell and we waited for a bit. It wasn't long until Kyojuro answered the door himself. His sharp eyes sparkled when he saw me and smiled widely at him. He seemed so happy and radiant. "Welcome to my house!!! Please make yourselves comfortable!!!!" Kyojuro said in his happy and energetic tone as he opened the gates for my family to get inside.

Then, he turned to me and brought his hand to my cheek. I blushed when he did so. "Are you excited??" He asked me softly.

I nodded and he smiled before taking my arm in his and guided me in through the house yard and inside his house. My aunt, uncle and Satomi were already settled in.

"Your house is very lovely, Rengoku-San. I'm glad that my niece has found someone as great as you." Aunt Saori said humbly.

Kyojuro smiled at her. "Thank you so much!!! I'm flattered you think so!!" He said bowing slightly at her.

We both sat down and talked for a bit. It was mostly my aunt and Kyojuro doing all of the talking, which was cute to see. After some time, the Shoji door opened and both Senjuro and Mr. Rengoku entered the room. Senjuro looked so happy to see me and I was glad to be seeing him too. As for Rengoku's father, he seemed to be dressed less carelessly than the last time I've seen him. He wore a nice and seemingly new blue haori that wasn't loose on his chest and body. He looked down at me and at my family with an obvious disapproval glare. I felt my hands shaking with the anxiety I had inside of me.
