Lucifer

Lucifer, the Avatar of Pride and Diavolo's right hand man. You'd think he had it all figured out, but no. Under his prideful domination and his stern treatment of his brothers, he's been struggling. Life for him has been nothing but hurdle after hurdle for him, especially now that the celestial wars come to an end. Lucifer can still remember that moment, fresh in his mind. The feel of Lilith's cool body heavy in his arms, the look of her wings bloodied and broken, the sound of his brothers moans of pain and fear. He remembers it all. Every single thing. He's suffering too, it's not just his brothers, but his pride won't let him show it. It's been this way for the longest, even back when they were angels, he was more prideful than most. He never let others see him down, nor did he allow himself to be seen as weak, not even by his own brothers. But that day was different. It came as a shock to everyone, to see Lucifer calling out to Lilith, to see him wishing so desperately for her to survive, as if his will alone could make it happen.

He swore they'd never see him like that again. He knew it scared them, to see him affected in a way they'd never seen before, but he promised to himself that he'd never let his brothers see him like that again. Never again would his brothers see him weak like that, and never again would they have to fear for their future.

This was his plan, but now that you've arrived, it may be entirely thrown off. Arriving in the past, you had to try to reforge your bonds with the brothers, since it was the only way to regain enough of your power to return back to the present according to Solomon. It had been going well, but after news spread that you'd be leaving eventually your progress was momentarily halted. And now, Lucifer seems to be a bit stressed.

After finishing your cleaning duties at RAD, you promptly head to the House of Lamentation. It's been a while since you've been over, and you have a feeling the brothers have gotten up to some type of mischief. And well, you're right. Somehow Leviathan's opened a cursed website that's turned the House of Lamentation into a cold and unforgiving labyrinth. Luckily, you're quickly able to sense the magic, but you still end up being teleported to a random room.

Looking around, it's clear to you that you're in Lucifers room, a room that's all too familiar to you. But something catches your eye. No, more like someone, and that someone just happens to be Lucifer, buried under a towering stack of paperwork on his desk. He must've noticed the curse, so why was he just sitting there? You figure it'd be faster to ask him yourself, so you walk up and tap his shoulder.

"Lucifer?" You look down at him as his head rests on his desk, he's completely silent, not bothering to respond. It's unusual for him. You nudge him again, but this time a bit more insistently. It takes a few more moments of your prodding for him to finally respond. He grabs your wrist, sitting up to look at you through tired eyes.

"What is it, MC?" His expression is neutral as usual, but even so there's something different about him. Something that makes him seem a bit more unapproachable than usual.

"You've noticed the curse, haven't you?" You let your hands fall to your sides, staring down at him and trying to figure out what's changed. It's more difficult than you thought. Lucifer sighs, glancing at the door to his room before allowing his gaze to return to you. He sits up fully, putting down his pen and standing up. He looks at you for a moment longer before turning his attention to the change in magic concentration around the both of you.

"I've noticed. The curse is strong too, so what could've set it off?" He lets out an exasperated sigh as he walks over to the door, opening it only to see the planetarium instead of the hallway. He looks back at you, his expression changing to one less of annoyance and more of something softer, perhaps affection. He turns to you fully, shutting the door again.

"Levi's done this, right? It could only be him, after all. But I'm sure my brothers will handle the curse fine, so.." He approaches you slowly, his expression softened with anticipation.

"Would you stay with me here? At least for now?" He furrows his brow, now standing directly in front of you. As you look up at him you see a faint blush dusting his cheeks, and you know what he's thinking.

"Hm, maybe for now. Though we can't take too long if you don't want your brothers to come looking for you." You let out a chuckle, bringing your arm up and giving his shoulder a good squeeze.

"While we wait for them to extinguish to curse, how about we talk about why you've been so tense?" You sit on the edge of his bed, motioning for him to sit next to you. Lucifer sits beside you, exhaling heavily before meeting your gaze.

"Why I've been tense? Well, it's because of you. You won't be staying with us, and... I don't want you to leave." He makes a frustrated expression, but it quickly morphs into one of embarrassment. He isn't used to being so transparent.

"Oh? Well do you want me to make up for it?" You grin slyly, it may not be the best time to flirt, but in the moment, he could probably use it. His eyes widen slightly at your boldness, but he quickly adjusts to it and gives you a smirk of his own.

"Make up for it? Are you sure you're up for that?" He quickly leans in. his hand snaking to the back of your head and reeling you in. His face is mere inches away from yours as he continues speaking.

"Well, no matter. You suggested it so you'll have to go through with it." He leans in further, pressing his lips against yours. He close his eyes, his other hand sliding down to your thigh and giving it a firm squeeze before laying you back on the bed. He breaks the kiss for a moment, opening his eyes look into yours. Then he frowns,  his eyes narrowing as he speaks in a whisper.

"Will you come back?" His demeanor changes, he's serious now. He stares at you silently, waiting for you to respond.

"Maybe, even though it might be hundreds of years from now." You smile, running your thumb over his cheek and pulling yourself up to kiss him again. This time, he pushes his tongue into your mouth, both your tongues mingling together. He seemed a bit relieved to hear that you might return, even if it was years later...
