A New Start

Ring! Ring!

"Hello?.."

Yeonjun's voice sounded tired, he hadn't been getting enough sleep and rest due to the sudden transfer school trauma.

"Yeonjun hyung!"

It was his cousin, Taehyun.

"Taehyun?Why are you calling at this time?"
"I heard you were transferring schools..again."
"Yeah.. what about it?"
"Are you transferring to Riverhood Heights Private High School ?"

The phone went silent. Taehyun could only hear the noise of paper flipping. Yeonjun was searching through his massive pile of transfer school applications since he had lost track.

Beep

"Yeah I think so."
"That's the school I'm currently attending hyung! I'll help you find your classes."
"Really? Thanks Taehyun.. you're a lifesaver (actually)."
"Don't mention it. That's what cousins are for right?"

That conversation had just made it a lot easier for him. Finding classes was one of the things he most dreaded doing. At least luck was on his side.. right? Or so he thought.

Beomgyu pinched his nose as he walked down the hallway. Everyone was staring at him, like he was some kind of outcast. He hadn't been to school for almost a month,some even forgot he existed. The rumour of his sudden show up spread like peanut butter all over the school. He was dressed in a black hoodie, soft fabric covering his head. His bangs were blocking his vision, yet the dark circles under his eyes were still very noticeable.

Beomgyu sighed and mumbled under his breath.

"Just get it over with Beomgyu.. you can do it."

He trembled as he slowly walked down the hallway filled with judging stares and hurtful comments.

"Beomgyu-ah!"

A voice rang into his head, a familiar voice. Bubbly yet annoying. He slowly turned around to see an expected face. He dreaded seeing the guy, even though he needed comfort. He just wanted some alone time.

"Hi."

Hueningkai waved and immediately hugged him.

"Where were you? I was so worried.."
"Just at home."
"Why?"
"Thinking about things"
"It's about the Soobin trauma isn't it?.."

Beomgyu's eyes widened in horror.

"H-how did you know that?"
"Everyone knows."

"Taehyun-ah.. where are you?"
"I'm running a little late hyung! Try to find the first few classes without me okay? You can do it, good luck! See you soon."

Beep

Yeonjun sighed as he took out his school map. Luckily he didn't trust Taehyun enough to go without a plan B. He nervously walked into the school, trying to search for his first class.

The map looked just like the others, confusing. He kept going back to the same place, it was tiring.

"Am I going in circles?.. I keep coming back here.."

Suddenly, he felt a light tap on his shoulder. He slowly turned around, expecting Taehyun to finally show up to school.

"Taehyu- excuse me? How can I help you?"
"You're holding it the wrong way."
"I- pardon?"

The guy slowly turned his map upside down before chuckling. Yeonjun's face immediately turned into a bright shade of red. He felt so stupid, he had transferred schools numerous times. Yet he still made the same mistake over and over again because of his dumb habit. He somehow mumbled a small "thank you " before bowing nonstop.

"Your welcome. My name is Hueningk-"

Before he could finish, Yeonjun already ran out because of embarrassment. He couldn't stay there any longer, he wanted to sink into the floor and never come out again. Guess luck wasn't on his side.
