The door opened, it was mom,"how are you guys doing" she said smiling as she pull off her high heels which are probably too thight "ahh I feel so relieved" she said smiling as if she had placed her legs in fire before coming."How was your date?"I asked coldly "it was wonderful and see this" she raises up her left hand to show us her finger "he proposed" she said happily "oh" I said making it sound half hearted."I know right, I was shocked as well" she exclaimed with feigned surprise but Bernard and strolled away, clearly not interested in the conversation. I turned back to mom and said "mom,you can't marry Chris,he can never be our father,have you even ever thought about Bernard feelings,he needs you at this point and you're not even playing your role as a mother"but she stood up still admiring her ring and casually sauntered off, leaving me wondering if she'd even heard what I said. I went upstairs to my room, freshened up and slept.
I woke up around six in the morning,did my house chores and started preparing the living room for Bernard surprise party, the room gradually came alive with color and energy. I added a few final touches*a vase filled with fresh flowers,a bowl of candy on the coffee table* before stepping back to admire my handiwork.
The living room was now a vibrant, celebratory space,filled with all the elements of a memorable birthday party. As I admire my handiwork I heard a door open upstairs,it was mom,she walked out of her room , and it was clear that she was heading to a party. Her outfit screamed celebration from the sparkly sequenced top that caught the light to the high waisted, skin thight pants that shimmered with every step. She came downstairs with a heavy smile on her face"where are you going to"I asked."I'm going out with my girls so lock the door cause I might not be back today". "Did you even know what we're celebrating today"I nodded my head's towards the banner that says happy birthday. "Oh my god, today's your birthday?" "No" I screamed "Bernard, today's Bernard birthday" "oh well help me greet him, I promise to make it up to him"she said as she hurriedly left. I sighed and tried to get rid of the thought of her. I went up to Bernard room but but he wasn't there,he would probably be in the bathroom,I waited for him and when he came out dressed in his special attire I quickly covered his eyes and led him down stairs."Surprise" I shouted as I removed my hands from his eyes.
"Wow you did all this by yourself" he asked with admiration as he walked through the room."anything for my lil bro" I said smiling. I'm really sure he loved it."where's she?" He asked hopping I understand who he meant by *she* "she went out partying"I said making it sound less sad,"bur look at the bright side, you'll get to celebrate your birthday with us"I said in a cheering tone."what do you mean by 'us' is anyone else coming". "Yes, infact two,my friend and her brother". "Woah really,you mean I'm gonna meet that hot friend of yours?" he asked with excitement all in his voice"yeah"I said with a assured tone. "Oh my god, I hope her brother is hot, please Almighty God please please please...."hey Bernard, don't start again" "don't shout at me you know today's my day" "okay fine but behave okay" the doorbell rang "oh they must be here" "race you to door"he screamed as he ran towards the door I opened the door and lizzy came in so does her brother "Christine" lizzy shouted as she hugged me "so this is my brother Benjamin" "hello" I said as I moved my hand for a handshake. He had lovely platinum blonde spiky hair with hazel eyes and his body is a little well built, he's hot than any guy I've ever seen. My brother came nearer to me and whispered "I'm totally fixing you up with this hot dude".
