When people around the world spoke of miracle doctors, not one would fail to think of Li Lianhua of The Auspicious Patterned Lotus House. His medical skills, which were famous for bringing the dead back to life, had become legendary among the people of the Jianghu, hovering between the realms of miracle and impossibility. This was why Li Lianhua was hailed as the “miracle doctor.”

However, when the term “famous doctor” was mentioned in the world, everyone knew it referred to Physician Gongyang Wumen, who was said to “have his medicine but no home” so they would call him Physician Gongyang Wumen

Gongyang, unlike Li Lianhua, disliked staying behind closed doors. He was known for mending his fences after the sheep went astray. Simply known as Gongyang, without a given name, he was eighty-seven years old, with a goatee and a face akin to a goat. Despite his age, he continued to wander the world.

In contrast to the Auspicious Lotus House with its endless auspicious patterns, Gongyang Wumen carried a basket on his back, trailing north and south alongside the migrating geese. Those seeking his aid need only follow his path; intercepting him was no easy task. Gongyang Wumen possessed remarkable medical prowess, having been unable to cure merely eleven individuals over several decades.

Yet, when the title “chivalrous doctor” was spoken of, the younger generation acquainted with the world would undoubtedly think of Phycisian Guan Hemeng, also known as the “Young Swallow Miraculous Needle.” Unlike Li Lianhua and other legendary physicians, everyone knew about Phycisian Guan’s appearance, age, martial arts prowess, and even his birthdate. Nonetheless, his reputation as a renowned and virtuous doctor preceded him. At twenty-six years old, he was wonderfully handsome, standing at eight feet and one inch tall. Born on the first day of the first lunar month of the Wuxu year, he possessed a promising future, albeit solitary, devoid of any confidant.

Presently, these three renowned figures—the miracle, the famous, and the chivalrous doctors of the Jianghu —- along with young master Fang Duobing of the Fang family, and the court’s Hua Ruxue of “Catching Flowers in the Blue Sky”, and many others, all converged in one place.

The gathering of these “miracle doctors,” “famous doctors,” and “chivalrous doctors” signified a collective effort to heal and rescue. Fang Duobing’s presence added to the excitement, indicating a brewing intrigue, while Hua Ruxue and the yamen officer’s attendance suggested the need for the intervention of someone of formality.

In reality, the situation was quite straightforward — A man named Jin Mantang had contracted a mysterious illness, which, while not unusual, drew attention due to his considerable wealth—over 100,000 taels of gold, 300,000 taels of silver, and an assortment of priceless jewelry.
