Chapter 1:

I pulled in the parking lot at 7:55. I grabbed my bag out of the back of my car. I had biology first period. Then trig second period. I couldn't wait.

Biology seemed to drag on forever. 8:10. 8:25. Only 25 more minutes to go. 8:40. 8:41. 8:42. 8:43. 7 minutes. 8:45. 8:46. 8:47. I couldn't tell you one thing I learned all period. 48, 49......... 50!!!!! *Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep!!*

I shot out of my seat hurried down the stairs & down the hall. I seen him there. Outside of the door, his hands in his pockets he seen me, looked down at the ground, blushed, & then looked back up at me. I stopped dead in my tracks. We locked eyes across the crowed hallway.

I weaved in & out of the people to get to him & he started towards me. "Hey." I said when we were about an inch apart.

"Come here." he said pulling me into him for a hug. He was so warm. He smelt just like I remembered.

"Welcome back stranger." I said. "Ahh, it's good to be back. First period was horrible. I barely made it through history."

"I couldn't tell you one thing we discussed in biology." I admitted looking up at him smiling. He grinned. Those dimples, so welcoming.

"I missed you so much."

"Yeah, try being surrounded by cornfields & arrogant football players for two weeks!!" I said stepping back, smiling, & entering the classroom.

"Well, I was stranded in the ocean!"

"Oh, you poor soul! How'd you ever survive?" I teased him.

"I don't know it was so hard! There were pretty girls everywhere! It was miserable!" he joked back.

"Oh! How did you bear it!" "I'm just that good."

"Oh, yeah totally. So how many did you flirt with?" I said rolling my eyes.

"None, actually."

"Really? Were you seasick in bed the whole time?"

"Nope. The sea changes a man." he said straightening his jacket & taking his usual seat beside me. It was good to see it filled again.

"Quiet! I know it's Friday & we have a big game but c'mon guys." our teacher, Mr. Murphy said entering the room. "Someone's gotten dumped recently." Harry mumbled to me.

"Yeah, this one was a florist."

"Ohhh, glad I wasn't here for this one."

"Yeah, I wish I wasn't. It was the worst one yet!"

"Ooooo. Yikes. Worse than the knitter?"

"Yes, worse than the knitter. He's taking it way harder too! He's been a grouch lately. It's starting to get annoying."

"What do you mean starting?!? It has been since the first day!!"

"SHHH! You'll have a test on this over Monday so we need to get started or I'll write everyone of you up!!" Murphy yelled.

"Wow." Harry mouthed. "Tell me about it." I mouthed back. He drew a dorky face on his notebook & made sure I seen it. I giggled. It was a drawing of Murphy with an air bubble that said, "Rotten kids! If it weren't for them I may, one day, keep a girlfriend for more than a week." "We're going to get in trouble! Big test! This is important! Do you want to graduate?!?" I wrote back. "No. Let's just stay in Murphy's class forever. Ugh....Just the thought of that makes me wanna hurl!" "Me too! Blah! I can't even stand one more day much less one more year!!" "I know gag!" he wrote back. "Do you want to go out to eat before the game? We can hang out at Dad's right after school, go eat, & then go to the game?" "Sounds amazing! I was just waiting for you to come up with plans. I knew you would!;) I'm driving!" "Okay! You can drive the three second commute from Dad's to Los Primos & then the five second one to the field." "Ha. Ha. I'll make you push the car." "You wouldn't." "I would. Don't dare me." "But I'm a girl." "Fine." ";) " ":P" After Trig we both went to Art, then I had English & he had Biology, then we had lunch. "Let's eat in the courtyard!" Harry said while we were looking for a place to sit. "Are we aloud?" "Psh.. Are we aloud? I could talk her into letting us eat on the roof!" he said meaning the 8,000 year old coach who was in charge of the cafeteria. "I always knew you had a thing for old ladies." I teased him. "Gosh! You know what I meant!" "You're right I do. I just like teasing you! I haven't gotten to in weeks. Weeks!! Let me catch up!" "I think you already have!" he said holding the door for me. "Not even close. Wow. It's beautiful out here." I said in shock. I had been out in the courtyard but I didn't remember it as this. They would've had to have redone it. "Yeah, I know." he said looking at me smiling funny. "What?" I asked confused. "Nothing, I just missed you Lamerson." "Well, I've missed you too Styles." I said grinning. We sat down. He told me all about his trip. It sounded beautiful. He even saw a wild sea turtle! It seemed spectacular. Lunch flew by but the rest of the day drug on, & on, & on!! I couldn't wait until the last bell. "So how was the rest of your day?" I asked when we got into our cars after school. "Long! Yours?" "Long & boring!" We pulled into Dad's at about 3:00. We walked in Dad wasn't home & Sarah had just gotten there & was in her room. Harry plopped down on the couch "Do you want anything?" I asked from the kitchen. "A soda please!" he responded. "A soda? I'm sorry, we don't have soda. We have Mountain Dew, Pepsi, Root Beer-" I loved to tease him. "Fine, POP. I'll take a pop." he said. I giggled. I grabbed a diet root beer for me & a Pepsi for him. I sat down on the couch beside him. "I forgot how pretty the lake looks this time of year." he told me. "Isn't it beautiful?" My house over looked the lake & had a big window in the front of the house that made the view remarkable. "It is." he said handing me the remote. "Oh, no. You pick." "Mmkay." he said flipping through the channels. "So, if the game starts at seven we need to be there by six thirty. We can leave to go eat at four forty-five, that'll give us plenty of time. You never know how their service will be. If we have extra time I'm sure we'll find something to do." "Fine by me! I'll drive us wherever. I always let you work out the details anyway." "I know you do." I said smiling, looking at him. He wrapped his arms around me & pulled me over to him. He hugged me tightly. He whispered to me,"You don't know how much I've missed you, Hannah." I loved his still thick accent. Especially when he said my name. "Not as much as I missed you." I said as he held me. He held me there for a minute, then let me go. He smiled at me. I just relaxed with his left arm around me. I put my feet up on the couch. I had missed him so bad. We watched tv, talked, & then left at 5:00. I had said four forty-five because I knew Harry would be late. He always was. Dinner was good. We joked & laughed the whole time. The food was delicious & the service was speedy. We were in & out within an hour. "I'm stuffed." I said walking out. "I could've ate a whole other plate!" he exclaimed. I just laughed at him. "So, what do you want to do?"
