-Recap-

"MONSTER! You'll pay for this!" Rage controlled her as she unsheathed her razor sharp claws and swiped at him, expecting to feel flesh and  blood pouring out, but her claws went right through him, not hurting him a single bit. What?! Holly's eyes widened in suprised. The group of huge cats mocked her and laughed a deep, menacing laugh. They came out from the darkness and advanced on her. The wild cats all chanted in whispers, getting louder and louder.

" Holly, Holly, Holly..."

-End of Recap-

"Holly, HOLLY. HOLLY!" Toffee shouted for what was like the hundredth time while shaking Holly awake. "Wake up! I'm hungry!" He moaned. It was nearly sunhigh and the forest animals around them were playing with each other and nourishing the sunlight and warmth.

"Mother? Please wake up! Help me!" Holly woke up with a jolt, panting and gasping, expecting to see the strange cats surrounding her. However, all she saw was a very confused looking Toffee, the lush green grass with the exotic flowers and the enormous Oak tree. What? Oh...It was just a dream... but it seemed so real, especially that mysterious cat.

Toffee gave her a quizzical and blank look.

"Mother? She di-, I mean, she passed away already. Don't you remember? And why do you need help? I certainly need help to fill up my tummy." And with that Toffee's belly growled like a monster that could be heard for miles! Holly shook her head with amusement, focused on reality and realized she was starving too. Suddenly, a blur of bluish-greenish zoomed past them as fast as lightning and settled on a branch above them on the Oak tree.

"Hey, look at that bird! I bet your meal I can catch it!" Toffee almost drooled when he saw that same saphire green swallow with the white chest as before who witnessed Tammy's death. It chirped urgently and quickly, hopping from one side of the branch to another.

"It's as if it is trying to tell us something." Holly observed.

"Yeah, telling us we should catch it!" And with that, Toffee bolted forward and clumsily tried climb the tree, giving plenty of time for the rare bird to fly away. "Mouse-dung! And it looked so heavenly and tasty!"

"Too bad. Better luck next time." Holly mocked pitied. "And I believe you owe me your meal now?"

"As if you would catch that bird." Toffee retorted. "I'd like to see you try."

Suddenly, Holly and Toffee's bellies' growled for food simultaneously. They both gave each other an embarassed look.

"Let's go and  catch bugs to ease the hunger. I've tried them before and they don't taste that bad." Holly suggested. "If only we knew how to hunt!"

"Fine." Toffee agreed, athough he didn't like crunchy meals.

Toffee swiped at a green bug scuttling along the grass and caught it between his claws. It almost scurried away but he stuffed it in his mouth and ate it with a satisfying crunch.
