Gizmo and Brain were chatting in the clamp tower café. They were soon giggling. Gizmo tried to grab something out of Brain's hand.
"Oh, stop it, that picture is so embarrassing." Gizmo whined. They were looking at an old picture from when they were five years old.
"Aw, Giz. You look adorable in those little overalls." Brain smiled. Gizmo couldn't help but smile as well. George suddenly ran to them.
"Hey guys, you need to be in a commercial tonight." George started. They were both confused.
"What do you mean?" Brain asked. George sat down next to them.
"Well, like all the other ads we've done before. Brain talks to the camera about seeing the films, but in this one, Gizmo is in it. In a drawer, while Brain uses a doll of him to fake an interview he was meant to say about the movie." George explained. Brain loved the idea, finally something with both of them in it together.
"So, when do we start filming?" Gizmo asked.
"Tonight, see you there." George left.
"I can't wait for tonight." Brain thought as he sipped his coffee. At around 9:00PM, the Gremlins crew were busy making a commercial to promote Gremlin 2. Brain was sitting in his iconic office chair fiddling with a Gizmo doll. Gizmo suddenly rested on his shoulder, smiling. This made Brain blush and sweat. Gizmo wasn't being cooperative.
"Giz? Can you not please?" George asked. Gizmo sighed and slid off the smart gremlin's shoulder.
"Alright, let's take it from the top again, and... ACTION!" Mohawk called out; Brain started to react the same moves he did the first take. It was dark outside since they were working late. It was also raining too, they saw a flash of lighting and a crash of thunder, causing the mogwai to curl up into fur balls. The gremlins felt Goosebumps all over their skin.
"Why did we agree to stay late?" Princess whispered.
"So, we can get paid, of course." George responded back.
"Brain won't touch Gizmo in this ad, right...?" Stripe growled quietly. Greg just rolled their eyes.
"No, he won't..." Greg added. Stripe was relieved by that. All of a sudden, the lights went out. They all jumped when it happened, Gizmo got scared, ran off and clinged onto Stripe. The big gremlin held the small mogwai close.
"What just happened?" Mitchell asked. George turned on a flashlight to find the breaker. He switched it up then down.
"I think it's a blackout." George answered.
"Actually, it's a power outage." Lucy corrected. He frowned at her.
"Now is not the time to correct people, Lucy." George added. They all groaned.
"The storm must've hit the generator or something, knocking the power out." Lenny added.
"What are we going to do!? We need to make this commercial." Brain insisted.
"Look, we can't do that. We'll have to wait until the power comes back on. It could just be minor; it'll last a few minutes. Or hours." Nurse explained.
"Or a few days." Zoe pointed out. They still weren't happy.
"Why don't we go get some candles to light up in the meantime? We can't stay in the dark forever." Greta suggested.
"Sure, I'll come with you." Brain added. The two went off, Brain held a flashlight. They found some candles in a storage closet. They grabbed a bag of them.
"Hey, B?" Greta asked. Brain looked at her.
"Yes?" Brain asked.
"I saw you blush when Gizmo rested on your shoulder during shoot. You still have a crush on him?" Greta explained. Brain got embarrassed; he covered his face feeling humiliated.
