"I simply wiped the blood stains..." The nurse added apologetically.

When she saw the familiar nursing home on the screen, Hee-joo rushed out immediately.

She was out of shape all the way, and her throat was aching from suppressing the urge to scream. At the same time, the nurse's emergency contact information came like a disaster message from a red loudspeaker.

A vague sense of fear made her breathless. 'Who to ask for help...' Who should she ask for help at this time?

Suddenly, she thought of her husband, but he was obviously not the right person. Hee-joo wiped her father's face with trembling hands.

"Are you a family member?" At this time, the police came over with a towel. Hee-joo nodded, and the police hesitantly unfolded the towel.

"Uh...!" She felt sick.

"Come with us to the police station to file a report first."

There were four bright red molars in the towel, pulled out by the roots and scattered there. The truth about her father's bleeding. She had goose bumps all over her body. Her father seemed to be struggling, and the room was a mess. Not only the bed, but also the wallpaper, floor, and glass windows were stained with blood.

"I went out for a while, and when I came back, his face was already covered in blood..." The nurse cried.

'Dad...'

She couldn't get over the shock. She couldn't think of anyone else who could do such a violent and cruel act except the kidnapper.

Just because of a phone call... Baek Sa-eon didn't answer his threatening phone calls for a few days. Just for this reason, he actually pulled out a person's molars...!

Hee-joo's eyes were full of anger.

"Uh..."

His father's swollen cheeks twitched. He still stared at a certain empty place weakly. Suddenly, his dry lips moved. She leaned down sharply and put her ear close. "Call... call... call..."

"…...!"

"Sister... call..."

A tear finally fell from her stiff eyes. She collapsed at that moment.

Her pale cheeks drooped weakly on the back seat of the police car. Her mind was blank, half dazed, half numb.
It wasn't until the two policemen sat in the front seat that she remembered that she had decided to go to the police station with them. All this was the result of mechanical reactions and responds.

Her last memory was watching her father fall asleep after taking a painkiller injection.

She looked out the car window and rubbed her fingers as if to wipe off the blood on them. The fishy smell that only she could smell made her stomach churn.

"...Huh? What's going on?"

"What are you doing?"

"No, Officer Jin. Nothing."

"Focus on driving."

Hee-joo closed her eyes tightly, but couldn't calm down.

As soon as she closed her eyes, she saw her father's molars and the kidnapper's smile, as well as the incompatible blue sky.

Her palms became greasy with sweat. It wasn't until the radio suddenly made a noise that her thoughts stopped the chain reaction.

At the same time, the policeman sitting in the driver's seat slapped the dashboard.
