Taylor walked downstairs in the night, covered in sweat. Tears streamed down her face as she wandered to the kitchen in just her bra and panties. Another nightmare had woken her except this time Travis wasn't there. He had slept on the sofa. She had no idea why since they weren't arguing. She passed the couch and looked at him before passing into the kitchen.
Travis stirred a little bit before waking up and hearing her in the kitchen. He slowly got up and made his way over to check on what was going on. Taylor stood making some tea and splashing her face with cold water from the tap.
Travis watched her gently placing his arm around her. Taylor flinched and put her hand on her chest. "Sorry I didn't mean to scare you. It's just me," Travis told her in a gentle voice. Taylor turned to him confused.
"Why didn't you come to bed?" She whispered, more tears spilling from her bright blue eyes. Travis held her closer. "I'm sorry I just needed some time to cool down after everything. I shouldn't have been that way," Travis whispered back, wiping away some of her tears.
Taylor looked down and nodded, getting her tea and taking a sip. Travis just kept holding her close and leading her to the couch to sit down. Taylor sat down and just huffed.
"Do you want to talk about what happened again?" Travis asked her putting his arms around her once more. Taylor shook her head and just lay back.
"It's okay you don't have to," Travis replied, still holding her close to him. Taylor just got up and headed back off to bed.
Travis followed after her, deciding to sleep the rest of the night in their bed again. Taylor lay down and closed her eyes.
Travis just got into bed putting his arms around her and closing his eyes as well. They fell asleep easily and woke up the next day, Taylor got up early and quickly put out an elf on the shelf for its first day.
Travis got up as well, going to help her with it. "Okay I've got their advent Calendars, harpers is a rubber ducky one so I'll put hers on the left then do Evie's to the right which is one with a bracelet and a charm in each one then Mal on the end which has little dragon characters in each one. Can you also put their elves in front of them please. You know who's is who's right?" Taylor asked Travis.
Travis smiled and nodded. "Of course Harper's is pink, Mal's is purple, and Evie's is blue," Travis replied, putting each elf where they go. Tayjor nodded and handed him the calendars and each little envelope with each girls names on them before getting the large square pool and pouring blue and white balls into it, making an at home ball pit. Each little ball could be opened up and inside were little treats and toys too.
"They're gonna love it and be so surprised," Travis told her with a smile looking over at everything. Taylor nodded and grinned. "I can't sit for them to be naughty though it will be so fun. Did you make sure each letter is with the right elf?" Taylor asked him.
"They're all correct, I checked a few times to be sure. This is going to be a lot of fun," Travis replied.
"We just need to make sure they don't touch them or there's no magic and no more fun. I can't wait to see their faces. SHIT! Their little gift bags." Taylor mumbled. Grabbing 3 gift bags that matched the color of each elf. Shs quickly liked them up in front of the ball pit.
"Should we get them up or should we wait for them to get up on their own and see it all," Travis asked.
"Let's get them so they all see it together. And maybe from now on we tell them they don't come downstairs until everyone is up so they all see it together every day." Taylor told Travis, making sure everything was perfect before snapping a picture and putting it on her Instagram story.
