Iris bolted to the storage room as the commotion outside ensued, Pacas and Snekkets of all shapes, sizes and colors were currently dressed up in costumes of all kinds going door to door. "It's time to go trick or treating! I've been waiting all season to use this leaf costume!" She said excitedly, digging through all the other items she has stored within. "A-ha-oohh..." She had pulled out a rather large leaf , it had 5 pointed stars and was as big as she is! It's color had faded from the beautiful green it once had been, now a dull gray and brittle to the touch. The disappointment in her face was enviable as it began to crumble and collect at her feet. "I was really hoping to be this leaf! Perhaps I really should of listened to the elders when they told me it wouldn't last." She sighed, her check nubs lowering. She spots an old oversized large sweatshirt in her storage, pure white with a soft knitted fabric. Carefully, she began to collect the shirt and examine it. "I could be a ghost this year? nooo, too spooky for me.. how abouuutt.." She looks around her room once more.
Marshmallows. She thought, spotting a bag of them on her table. "Yeaa~! That's it! I can be a marshmallow this year!" Her nubs returned rather quickly to their happy expressions at the sudden idea. Digging about her home hunting for her sewing supplies, the large sweatshirt lay sprawled out fully on her living room table. It didn't take her long as she padded back over excitedly with the scissors in hand, getting right to work. Carefully, she had started with cutting off each arm at the seam. "less fraying.." she mumbled to herself, collecting the pre-threaded sewing needle in hand. She had collected the scrap fabric and moved it to the side. With as much precision she could muster, each thread piercing the fabric as she soed the bottom of the shirt closed. looking over her hard work, she squeezed herself through the opening where her head would see through. "I should of- ack- I should of gotten inside this thing before sewing it closed!" and with a comical POP! She had finally squeezed herself in.Looking at herself in the mirror, its of a quick realization of one more fatal flaw in her design. It sagged over her features, having no plush to make it round as a marshmellow should be. "What?! I Forgot about the stuffing!" she dashed about in her room, looking for anything that could be used as a stuffer. After some digging, she hovered over her pillows with an evil glint in her eyes. "Don't worry babies, I'll fix you back up once its all over." STAB! TAIR, RIP! as stuffing began to fly. Doing her best, she used her only two pillows to stuff each saggy area. Waddling back over to her mirror, she grinned from ear to ear at the stuffed marshmallow costume she had strung together at such a late notice. "There, It's perfect!" she beamed happily, her attention snapping back to the festivities outside with sudden laughter and cheer. "Oh no! I better hurry before everyone runs out of candy!" she mentioned as she snatches up a white bag and dashes out the door to join the Trick or Treat event!
