Valentina's pov:
I slam the car door of my black Range Rover, as I walk over to my parents front door in a fast pace. I don't knock instead I just barge in, closing the door after me, even though all I want to do is slam the door, I remember my sister is here and I don't want to scare her.
"Val, is that you?" I hear my mother voice come from the living room, so I make my way over there.
"Yeah." I answer, entering the living room where I see my mother and father sitting closely on the couch together while Lily is slumped over the cozy chair to the left of them. "Lils, do me a favour and go upstairs, I need to talk to mum and dad." I say to my sister and she looks at me a confused look on her face.
"What?" My dad asks, as confused as Lily is. I can't bear to look at him, so I keep my eyes on Lily.
"Why should I leave? Is it family related?" Lily asks, straightening up her posture on the chair. I reluctantly nod, thinking if she should find out the truth now. "Then I wanna stay."
"Lily-"
"Let her stay Valentina." My mother warns, meeting my eyes with hers. For a second I stand frozen but then I bring a chair from the corner of the room and place it to face my parents.
"Fine." I say, leaving my elbows on my knees.
"What's this about Val?" My dad asks, and I still don't look at him. "You've come in here ordering Lily around in the middle of a peaceful night what do—"
"Jason." I say, cutting him off. For the first time tonight I lay my eyes on my parents, seeing them visibly stiffen at the mention of his name. "Jason and Leon." My parents exchange a look with wide eyes.
"Leon, Blake's brother?" Lily asks, her brows knitting together in confusion.
"You wanna tell her or should I?" I ask my parents as my father stands up.
"Valentina leave." He warns, taking a step closer to me.
"I know the truth dad." I say, confidently standing up in front of him. "And I'm not letting you run from it anymore. Lily deserves to know, just as I did."
"Know what?" Lily exclaims clearly growing frustrated.
I look my father into the eyes as he gives me his 'don't you dare look', before I slowly walk over to my sister. Her eyes follow me as I take a seat on the cozy chair right next to her.
"Valentina stop." My father warns, his voice sharp and commanding.
"Why huh?" I ask. "So you can continue living in a fucking lie?! So you can lie to my sister the same way you lied to me all my fucking life?!" I shout, standing up again, I'm so angry right now.
"I did it to protect you!" He shouts.
"Protect me?! You never did anything to protect me!" My voice is sharp despite the tears building up at the corner on my eyes. "You, you took the love of my life away," I say, standing close to him and pointing an angry finger at him. "You made me go through training to become a fucking mafia leader! I was 7! 7!" The loud words spill over my lips as if they were water from a overfilled glass.
The man in front of me scrunches his face in anger. "And you," I start my final point. "Kept 2 of our own brothers away from Lily and I."
"Wait, what?" Lily's shocked voice says from behind me. "What are you talking about?"
"Nothing Lils don't worry about it." My mother reaches over to stroke Lily's arm, but Lily pulls away.
"No! I'm not a fucking baby anymore!" She exclaims standing up and taking a stand next to me. "What are you talking about Valentina?" She asks, and I break the intense eye contact I held with my fathers angry eyes.
"Tell her go on." My dad urges.
"So you can feed her lies right here?" I rethorically ask, with a chuckle. "Go grab your shoes and a jacket Lils. We are going for a drive."
