— Do you really need to go? — Donghyuck asked in a whisper, he didn't want his lover to go away from him.

— I do, my love, but I promise that the time I'm away will pass quickly, hm? — Lee said, pulling the beta into a tight hug — It's only a few months my sweet, I'll be back very quickly. — Lee stroked his lover's hair, still hugging him.

Donghyuck nodded, trying his best not to cry quietly. The airport was crowded and soon they would be calling the passengers of the plane that was leaving for Canada, something that made him even more depressed and so, he ended up squeezing the alpha against his small body.

They both enjoyed the few minutes they had left, until they heard the call for the older man's flight, and with that Donghyuck couldn't hold back the tears, his eyes watered and he began to whimper softly, telling the alpha how much he would miss him.

— I promise the time will pass quickly, my love... but I have to go, I can't miss my flight. - Mark, as much as he wanted to stay and keep hugging his boyfriend, limited himself to drying the tears that were streaming down the beta's face and placed a light kiss on his lips, then moved away to pick up his suitcase and start walking towards the boarding gate.

Donghyuck stared at him, watching him walk away, and when he stopped watching his lover, he decided to leave the airport, go home and cling to the big teddy bear that Lee had given him for his birthday, while watching his favorite series on the television in the living room.

Donghyuck wanted his boyfriend by his side, and felt sad that he was miles away, but he would endure the longing and wait for his alpha to return.

The days went by, and Donghyuck missed his lover more and more. Even though he went out with some of his friends, nothing suppressed the longing he felt for his alpha.

Renjun – one of his best friends – would invite him out for a walk in the afternoons to try and distract him, but still nothing would cheer the beta up.

Donghyuck just wanted his alpha with him.

Twelve days had passed, and in that time the sweet beta had written several letters to send to his boyfriend. Mark felt like a fool every time he read the younger Lee's letters, but his heart always squeezed because he wanted to hug his lover and shower him with affection like he used to do every day.

Mark was a silly boyfriend. He always wanted to be close to his beta, no matter what, but now it was a bit different; he was in his hometown and couldn't go back and leave his parents – who needed him – just like that. He had to help his parents, since they had helped him all his life, and even though he missed him terribly, Donghyuck understood that it was necessary for the alpha to be in Toronto at that moment.

Mark was only going to be away for a few months, but it would pass quickly and if he could he would even return sooner, it all depended on the health of his father – who was very ill. He would stay at his parents side long enough, helping out with whatever was needed and calming down his mother, who was terribly afraid of losing her husband.

The alpha was on his way to the house where his parents lived. He had finished the shopping he had decided to do, since it was still early afternoon and he would have time to buy quite a few things – but nothing more than was needed to fill the kitchen cupboards and pantry.

When he arrived at the house and put everything in its proper place, with the help of his mother, the alpha went to his old room – where he would be sleeping for the next few months – and took out his laptop, in order to call Donghyuck and spend as much time as he could chatting with the sweet beta.

While the call didn't start, Mark decided to change into something more comfortable and sat down on the bed with a slight smile on his face; he was dying of longing for his love and felt his heart beating insanely in his chest.
