Yuuka: My name is Yuuka Oto, a second year at Ten Candles high, and I'm not really special in my opinion, but I have a friend group who pokes fun at me so I have that to look forward to at the very least..
Mrs. Oto: Yuuka, you ready?
Yuuka: Yeah, gimme a second..
Yuuka goes out and walks toward his school on the sidewalk, only to be stopped by a girl with brown hair holding her hands on her hips.
Yuuka: (It's Maya..)
Maya: Hey Yuuka, you're two minutes too slow!
Yuuka: I got here early, but you were here two minutes earlier so I'm not actually late.
Maya: Who cares about the details, let's get going to see everyone now!
She grabs his arm and practically drags him forward, smiling big the entire time while she's at it. And Yuuka notices a child sitting on a bench eating ice cream, which is the same girl he's used to seeing on his way to school.
Yuuka: So what are we doing today?
Maya: Ah Kimiko wanted to show us something she learned later after school today, but other than that, we do have to pick up new glasses for Emi since she broke hers yesterday.
Yuuka: I see.. Could you maybe let go now..?
They reach school, and when they do they are greeted by their friend with blonde hair who is grabbing shoes from her locker.
Maya: Hey girl!
Yuuka: Yo Emi..
Emi: Hi there! You're both here on time today, good for you.
Maya: I had to beat him to it, but he's pretty quick!
Yuuka: (She was earlier than me though..)
Emi: Anyway after school would it be okay if we all got some ice cream? I don't mind paying..
Maya: Yeah that'd be great!
Yuuka: After we get you some new glasses that is. Oh also we should watch Kimiko's new trick. I'm assuming she learned something with her bow.
Emi: Right.. Well I guess I'll see you all after class.
Maya: Mhm! Meet us in the back of the library like usual mkay?
Emi: That place scares me sometimes but, alright..
With that, Yuuka walks ahead and Maya follows soon after. Eventually the school day flies by and Yuuka's on his way to the library while texting on his phone.
Yuuka: (What a surprisingly peaceful day, I was expecting things to go wrong at some point but here I am almost at sunset already.. And my sister is doing okay according to mom as well.)
???: Yuuka, fancy meeting you here.
Yuuka: Hm?
He looks up and sees a tall reserved girl with long jet black hair, and a calm look on her face. She stands there with her arms behind her, looking mildly curious at his hand.
Yuuka: Hey Kimiko. Is it really all that special meeting me here if you were expecting it?
Kimiko: I was expecting you to be waiting with the others, but that's not that important, We should head in already.
Yuuka: Yeah..
They walk into the dark library, the only light being that of the blue sky lightly spilling onto the tables. They walk toward the back and see Maya and Emi staring really hard at a magazine.
Emi: Wow she's so pretty!
Maya: I wish I could make any outfit look amazing just like she does!
Kimiko: You're both yelling in a library you know..
Emi: Oh, I'm sorry..
Maya: hey Kimiko! Wait no one's even in here..
Kimiko: You girls are looking at that new Idol huh? I hear she's getting famous quickly, and even takes photo shoots while also making high quality songs. I commend her for her hard work, and hope she gets greatly rewarded.
Yuuka: A-anyway, what was it you wanted to show us Kimiko?
Kimiko: I've practiced a new trick with my bow, and I would like to show it to you three.
They all sit by and watch as Kimiko pushes aside a smaller bookshelf to reveal a target board and a bow with arrows in a quiver leaned against the board nearby. She places them on her back before swiftly beginning to shoot arrows at each section in the target before kneeling and hitting one right in the middle. And everyone applauds as she starts panting with sweat on her forehead.
Maya: Amazing!!! You rock Kimiko!
Emi: Yeah that was so good, you have such great aim Kimiko!
Yuuka: (Impressive..)
Kimiko: Thanks guys.. I practiced hard and now I have great control over my aim.
Maya: Let Yuuka try now!
Yuuka: What?
Kimiko: I don't mind.
Maya: Come on Yuuka you know it's tradition for us to test your abilities!
Yuuka: Hah whatever...
Emi: You got this..
Kimiko passes him the bow and arrows and he immediately goes to work, shooting each section with nearly just as much precision as Kimiko, until the middle arrow is slightly off target.
Yuuka: Hm..
Maya: Woah is there anything you can't do Yuuka!?
Emi: Nice aim!
Kimiko: You did that without any practice didn't you? Impressive indeed.
Yuuka: Well I do have the practice of Maya forcing me to beat your record every time you set one, and now she'll be on me about it until I can perfect this one...
Maya: You bet I will! Now we should all head out and grab some ice cream!
Kimiko: Hm that does sound good but I have to get home. I'm cooking dinner today.
Maya: Oh yeah you switch off with your brother huh? How's your dad doing?
Kimiko: He'll live, he's been sicker before after all. Also he's probably on cloud nine with his caring wife by his side pampering him all the time.
Emi: Ha that's very sweet..
Yuuka: We'll get going then, see you later Kimiko and thanks for hanging out with us today.
Kimiko: No problem, have a nice day you three..

Writer's note: This is a story that might last a while, so prepare for a long rollercoaster.. This is more of a melancholic slow piece of art that I decided to make, but I do plan to at least try and keep it interesting as I let my mind run free. This story is basically the byproduct of what my tired brain makes up when I'm about to fall asleep so I hope you enjoy!
