another drawing inspired by november (aside from the part with the heart and lava). lowkey unfinished but idc abt details coz they're tricky + im still learning how to think in drawingish. it's a tough language.
themes:
- grey background, leafless tree, and reddish bushes <--- simply, november aesthetics. which i love; PLUS deadness, as memento mori which inspires a deep shift in perspective that i.e. adds a unique layer to our appreciation of life.
- juice <--- enjoying life, tasting experiences unapologetically.
- blood <--- taking life in fully, and thereby gaining the victory.
- messiness and explosions <--- freedom, uninhibited self-expression, genuine, authentic interactions, discarding plastic and doing Real things.
- bones <--- true self as well as our physicality/bodiliness, as in, embracing our body as ourselves and making peace with our mortality.
- crumbling apart or burning <--- our self-image transforming as a result of brave self-exploration and looking discomfort in the face; also making peace with body as destructable and mortal.
- fire <--- passion. When we're actually in love with sth; it's our drive, we don't need self-discipline, it happens by itself, subconsciously even.
- lava <--- sensuality, desire; using sex as a way to access deeper states of consciousness in which we get to explore our repressed desires, so that we then have a clearer view of what's still in need of addressing; also, that as a way our most authentic self expresses, bc it's less inhibited by our conscious filtering, similarly like it happens in dreams.
- satan's eye in the place of the stone <--- awakening and enlightenment that come from accepting and facing what we fear and demonize. To sink our teeth into life and enjoy it fully, we need to accept it fully.
- heart <--- the primal beat, life's rhythms among the fundamental chaos underlining the order; giving in to the flow.
- orange spot on the leaf <--- unintended, an imperfection allowed to exist.
Now, all those themes are obvsly cool. But what's even cooler is actually living by them.
