All rich kids lived in The Hills, Wendy being one of them. The Hills was the nicest place in the valley, beautiful houses, beautiful families. A real American dream.

"And if I had the chance, i'd never let you go."  Wendy sang to herself, walking down the sidewalk on a nice summer day. Walkman on her hip, black wired headphones blocking all sound.

It was 1981, Wendy and her family had just moved to The Hills. They originally lived in Colorado, but her mom wanted a warmer and more fun place for Wendy to live. Hence why they came to California.

Wendy was walking through the neighborhood, admiring all her neighbors beautiful houses. They were magnificent. Some houses had flower bushes, some had palm trees.

Not trying to brag, but she completely thought her house was the most beautiful there. Maybe because it was her house, or maybe because of the red rose bushes around the house and the perfectly placed tree on her front yard that created just the right amount of shade.

While she was so focused on watching the neighborhood, she didn't focus on infront of her. "Hey, watch out!"  The strangers warning couldn't help her as she stumbles straight to the concrete of the sidewalk.

She looks up from the ground, propping herself up on her shoulders. All she could see was a kid on their bike. They look around the same age as her, 14. As they squat down to help her up, she saw the most beautiful blue eyes look down at her.

'I'll make you happy baby,  just wait and see.'  It was as if the song played on cue, cause Wendy found herself lost in his eyes. She quickly came back to her senses and snapped out of it, taking a headphone off her ear.

"Oh, i'm so sorry. I couldn't hear you." She grabs his hand and he helps pull her up. Wow. He was tall. "Its fine. I don't think i've seen you around before. I'm Johnny."

"My names Wendy, I just moved here with my mom."  Wendy flashed a smile that could melt even the most frozen hearts. Her teeth were beautiful. Her lips were beautiful. SHE was beautiful.

Johnny cleared his throat. "Well, I guess I'll see you around then." He smiled back, this time the smile made Wendys heart melt. That was the first time Wendy met Johnny.
