Chapter 3: First impressions

As you open the teacher suddenly stopped the lecture and all eyes were on you, except that this one girl was just staring at you. "Zack Murphy, you are late to class" said the teacher. "Sorry Ms uhhh" the teacher interrupted you before you could finish your sentence. "Ms Davis to you" she said coldly. "Sorry Ms Davis" you said in a sorry voice. "And for being late and interrupting my class, why don't you introduce yourself to the class?" Said Ms Davis. You shyly walk closer to the front and said "I'm Zack Murphy I'm in 10 grade and I promise I won't be late again!!" "Good now find a seat" Ms Davis said coldly. As you were trying to find a seat you see the girl still staring at you up and down. You decided to just ignore it and sit down next to the window. When you sat down your teacher began to repeat the rules and classroom procedures for this year. You got bored and decided to draw in your notebook. But As you opened your notebook your pencil dropped and you looked the see if anyone was looking at you but the coast was clear. You even tried to see if that girl was looking at you but you glanced at her and saw that she was drawing something in her notebook too. Once you picked up your pencil you stared at your notebook thinking of what to draw. As you were thinking you turned your head to see that she was staring at you again!! "Zack Murphy and Yumi Martinez, it's not arts and crafts time, put the pencils away and focus!!" Ms Davis said in an irritated voice. "Yumi" you said in your head, that's her name. You saw her quickly close her notebook and put her pencil down and you did the same thing. You and the rest of the class were soon given a worksheet while one of the students passed out books. "Class, today we will be doing a group reading and at the end of this you will be writing a summary of it" Ms Davis said in cold voice. You looked at the book and it looked like one of those lame work books provided by the school that the teachers would give you in 7th grade, but bigger and with more words. "Who will be volunteering to read page one?" Ms Davis said as her eyes searched the whole classroom. "How about you Yumi, since you don't want to pay attention!" As Ms Davis said that Yumi jumped up and her face turned white. She slowly opened the book and stared at the page she was supposed to read. "Go ahead" Ms Davis said as she checked her watch . You watched Yumi continue to stare at the page and not speak. You swear you could feel like you saw her shaking, but maybe it was just your imagination. "Any day now" Ms Davis said in an inpatient voice. You saw her still staring at the pages but not speaking. "Are you going to read or what?!" Ms Davis said in an irritated voice. Then suddenly, The bell rang and everyone started to get up. "You're gonna read the page tomorrow or there will be consequences, do you understand?" Ms Davis said as you Watched Yumi nod nervously and quickly get her books then, headed to her next class.
