Chapter 11- Not this club.

I quickly put my hair into a pony tail with bits out at the front and Maddie does two braids in her hair and then we leave.

"I really hope you like the club I've picked." Neymar says.

"What club is it anyway?" I ask, I look up to see Arsenal.

"Oh that's so cool!" I say as I get out of the car.

"And that's so not." Maddie says as she looks at the pitch. I look over, Brooklyn and stuff.

Like why?

"Out of every club." I say.

"Don't you guys like eachother, Allison and I were sure you were gonna date." He says

I slap his arm "No! He's a fucking asshole." I say.

"Mhm sure" he says not paying attention anymore.

We talk to the guy who runs this place then we get told to go on pitch and meet our new team.

"Hey! I'm Maddie! Your new player!!! I mean that in both ways." She says to the girls and guys team.

Smh.

"Umm hey. I'm-" but I get cut off.

"That's Levy, your new captain." She says.

Ugh why did she say that, I feel so embarrassed, everyone just silently Starws at us...

"Anyway! What's this new captain stuff?" Brooklyn says breaking the tension.

"Well we've seen her play and since Kristine is on leave she is out new captain!" The woman who I assume is coach says happily, everyone cheers.

"I'm better but you know.." Maddie says which earns laughs.

"Okay! Now wait here while we get everything set up!" She says before leaving.

"Out of every club. You had to come to this one, with the guy you hate." Brooklyn says.

"Well I don't hate you..." I say he just looks at me like 'really?'

"What! Don't look at me like that! I don't, seriously." I say to him.

"Is it because I'm so hot you wouldn't be able to stay mad at me?" He asks with a wink.

I look away as I blush.

"No... " I say. "It's because Ember told me you were doing the right thing and all this shit." I say.

"I gotta thank her." He says.

"Why? Is it because I'M too hot to give up?" I ask doing a wink and copying him.

He scratches the back of his neck and his cheeks go red.

"LOOK WHO IT IS!" Danny says running up to me as he grabs me and picks me up.

I laugh at his hyperactive mood.

He puts me back on the ground.

"I gotta find the other one!" He says running off.

"That kid." I say with a chuckle. I look up to Brooklyn since he didn't respond to see him glaring at Danny... Okay?

"Did something happen between you two?" I ask but before he can respond a bunch of girls come towards us.

"Hey new captain!" A really tall athletic girl says.

"Hi!" I say.

"She's so tiny and adorable!" She yells out to the other girls.

Wow. Stereotypically I expected them to be perfect tumblr chicks...

But they're all reaaasaaaaallllyyyy well built and super tall and kind of intimidating.

"Ooo you don't want to say that, have you seen her on game days? Not so tiny and adorable." Maddie says walking up to us.

"So I saw you two chatting." She says to us.

"Yep..." I say. She smiles at me before turning away.

"I'll be with my boyfriends!" Maddie yells to the girls team.

"Wait what?" I ask before I look over to see her flirting with the guys team. "Oh."

"She seems sorta slutty..." A girl says

"She is." I say, they all look shocked that I would say that. "But that's just her"

"Okay practise match to see how the new ones go!" Coach yells. "Into positions! And Captain and Maddie just go where you usually go and Levy can sort it out."

I go into centre mid and Maddie goes into striker.

"Who gets kick off?" I ask.

"Wait, aren't you gonna get your team in order?" Coach asks.

"I don't want to be mean..." I say.

Coach and Maddie start laughing.

"Darling have you seen yourself on game days? Your meaner than me!" She says between laughs.
I laugh with her since it's true.

"Her inner demons only come on Sundays, I'll yell at them for now." Maddie says. "DEFENCE GET UP A LITTLE! YOUR WINGERS NOT CENTRES MOVE OUT! CENTRE MID." She says I look up to see what she's gonna say about me.

"BROOKLYN WANTS YO NUMBER!" She says in the same voice.

Everyone makes 'ooo' sounds.

I slap her arm.

"STRIKER! HAVE YOU AND JOSH ALREADY TRIED TO HAVE BABBIES OR?" I say she goes super red and I see him in goals go red as well.

"ALRIGHT KIDS LETS JUST PLAY!" Coach says with a grin on her face amused by us.

I take the ball as someone passes it to me, I dribble around heaps of players but then I get stuck around this MASSSIIIVVVEEE guy, I flick the ball up and Maddie jumps in the air, gains control and shoots.

We both run up to eachother and high five, everyone seems pretty impressed with our skills.

"Come on Josh!" Some guy yells, "don't let her get a goal just cos you like her!"

"This time the girls can't pass to eachother!" Coach yells.

Oh shit.

They pass back to me.

"UGH GIRL WITH THE-" I start to say but the ball isn't at my feet anymore I turn to see Brooklyn get passed a whole lot of people as finish it with a goal.

"Sorry..." I say feeling guilty.

"Okay so obviously our fall is the fact that you guys don't know eachother that well, great players. Best I've ever seen. But we don't have that level of trust we need."

After a training session we all go in.

"Okay game day tomorrow, I know the guys team will watch the girls play and same way around since your matches are right after one another which is odd. Yes the boys team coach will be back and everyone be on your A game."
