I LIED FOR YOU - Na Jaemin

Chapter six

The movie finished and me and Jaemin walked out. He had put his glasses and hoodie back on which I found weird because why doesn't he just wear a mask?

We got in the car but Jaemin's eyes fell on something. I watched his eyes follow a guy, wearing practically the same thing as him.

"Is that Chenle?" He asked, but I had no clue if he was talking to me or himself. He thought to himself, "holy shit that is him.."

I looked at him and he seemed worried. "Is he your band mate?" He nodded.

"God, I swear if he followed me." He started the car and drove back to my apartment building.

Jaemin parked in front of the door and looked me in the eyes. "Listen, Jaemin, I'm really sorry I jumped on you.." I started realizing how weird that sounded.

"You're fine, I get it. Some people aren't good with horror." He shrugged it off. "I have something for you as well."
I raised an eyebrow while he reached back to grab something. He pulled out a small bouquet of flowers.

I gasped, "you didn't need to do that!" I grabbed them from him and admired their beauty. "Aw, you're so sweet.. Thank you Jaemin!" I smiled brightly at him.

"No, thank you. I didn't expect you to actually give me another chance." He smiled.

"I'm glad I did, thank you for this night Jaemin."  He was flustered.

"I'll see you later, right?" He asked and I nodded.

"Of course, thank you again!" I exclaimed before I left inside.

I got to my apartment room and jumped up and down with joy. I set the flowers down in the kitchen but noticed an envelope.

I grabbed it to see my name on the back. I sat on the couch and opened it up. It was a heartfelt note that said:

"Dear Seoyeon,
If I didn't say it already, thank you so much for giving me another chance. You don't understand how much I appreciate it. I know you probably won't fully forgive me for a while and that's okay, take your time. I'll be waiting for you. That sounds weird, I'll probably still be in love with you. Once again, I wanna say sorry again. I seriously didn't know we'd get to know each other after the day at the cafe. I know lying to you was a terrible thing and I regret fully. I was afraid of you finding out I was an idol and immediately forgetting about me. Which I feel would have happened because I lied but you told me to talk so it worked out! I also want to apologize for calling you at 2 AM yesterday.. You were on my mind, had a few drinks, and I had to say something. But other than sorry, I really really appreciate you going out with me. I'll reach out to you when I can.

The note made me smile so much, this was the sweetest thing a man has ever done for me. I took the note to my fridge and hung it up with a magnet.

Jaemin POV

I got home, took off my shoes and went to my room but stopped when Mark had called me from the living room. "What's up?" I asked, turning back to see him and Haechan watching something together.

"Where'd you go? It's 10 o'clock." He asked, typical leader.

"I went to hangout with my cousin, I told the company already." He nodded so I left.

I went into my room and saw Jeno and Chenle talking to each other. They stopped and made eye contact with me when I came in and shut the door behind me.

"What the hell were you doing there Chenle?" I asked and he seemed shocked like he didn't expect me to know, or playing dumb.

"What are you talking about? I wasn't at your date." I rolled my eyes.

"Don't act stupid, I saw you." He sighed.

"Fine, Jeno told me to go investigate." My eyes sharply went to Jeno.

"Why?" I asked him as I went to sit on my bed.

"So in case someone saw you, he could help you out." I rubbed my face.

"It was cute Jaemin, holding hands, laying on each other's shoulders." Chenle fangirled, or more like fanboyed.

"It's cute until someone catches you." Jeno crossed his arms.

"It's fine, I probably won't hangout with her in public from now on." They both nodded.

"Did you hear about the performance we're doing?" Chenle asked us and we both shook our heads.

"It's a fan choice performance practically. There's three different songs they can choose from and we perform it once." He explained.

"Can you see what song is winning?" I asked and he nodded, pulling out his phone.

"It's actually tied right now, between Runaway Baby by Bruno Mars and This Love by Maroon 5."

"They're English songs?!" Jeno exclaimed. Chenle nodded.

"This will be fun," I sigh.

"Yeah, I heard they might make us dance with girl dancers or something."

"Why? Wouldn't that make the fans mad?" Jeno asked but Chenle shrugged.

"I don't know, it was the company's decision."

"Whatever, about Seoyeon. I wouldn't suggest telling anyone she's your cousin in case they catch you two kissing or something." Jeno spoke.

"Oooh yeah, that would be to try to explain. Say she's your friend." Chenle suggests, I get what they were saying.

"Yeah you guys are right." I agreed with them.

Seoyeon POV

The next day I was at work when Diya ran over to me. "How was it yesterday?!" She asked, overly excited.

"It was good! We held hands and.."

"OMG THAT'S SO CUTE!" She jumped up and down. "What else?!"

"I laid my head on his shoulder, then after he gave me a bouquet of flowers with a note on it."

"Aww that's so cute!" She was in awe. "What did the note say?" I pulled out my phone and showed her the picture I took of it. She read the whole thing with a smiley face.

"Seoyeon, this is the sweetest thing ever. You NEED to keep this man." She shook my shoulders.

I looked over to see Jaemin and his friend coming over. Diya ran to the back to not make contact.

"What's up Seoyeon~" Jaemin spoke with a smile.

"What's up~" I laughed. "What would you like?" I asked.

"4 iced Americanos." I nodded and placed the order in.

"There's also this thing I need to ask you about." He said as he handed me the credit card.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Are you free tonight?" I nodded. "Wanna hangout?"

I shrugged, "why not!" He smiled.

"Cool! Is it okay if I come to your place? I'm afraid of people seeing you at our dorm." I nodded.

"Yeah, I'll just have to clean."

"Oh psh, you don't need to do that." He waved his hand.

"Yes I do, don't worry. It won't take me long." I smiled as I handed him the card back and started to make the drinks.
