My fist connects with my opponent's chest, sending her body backward onto the mat. The girl was the third person I had eliminated during the first event of the tournament.

This competition was called the captain's war, where if you hit the mat, you're out. If one of your captains hits the mat, your whole team is out.

Group A consisted of Falchi Della Notte, Miyagi-do, Cobra Kai, and the Iron Dragons. Our team was in Group B against Furia de Panthers, West End Warriors, and Redentores.

Watching Group A was intense. It was painful to see Miyagi-do get eliminated so quickly, especially considering that I knew they could fight a lot better.

Glancing around, I notice all my teammates are still in. There were only four people from the West End Warriors left: two boys and two girls.

"Surround them!" Yelled Matteo, encouraging us to use the tactic our Sensei wanted us to use.

We began forming a large circle around them, forcing them into the middle. There were five of us, and only four of them.

"If you surround them all at once, it will overwhelm them. You will be attacking all at different angles, making them develop vulnerable spots. If you see an opening, take it immediately. No hesitation." is what Sensei Enzo had instructed us.

He was a very strict, harsh, and blunt man. His motto was "No hesitation," which was similar to "No mercy" but conveyed a different message. He didn't want us to hold back, but unlike Kreese, he didn't want us to have to fight more than we had to, putting ourselves at risk for injury.

Sensei Enzo didn't teach us to fight with anger; he taught us to use logic and predictability but wanted us to be brutal at the same time.

I heard the crowds let out noises of confusion and surprise, but I didn't let this distract me. I was considered the best female fighter on my team, mostly because I was incredibly good at predicting things.

When I stepped onto the mat, I became a different person. I was focused and serious, and that usual smile on my face dropped, turning into an expression of anticipation.

"Go!" I shouted to my teammates in Italian.

We all swiftly moved toward our opponents, going at them in different directions and positions, making them become exposed in only a few seconds. Just what Sensei Enzo said would happen.

I go for the female captain with a sharp kick directed at her legs. It lands, but it is not enough to knock her down. It does make her falter for a moment, which is exactly what I intended to do.

I didn't want this fight to be over so quickly; I still craved that adrenaline that would come from the next few hits. I also knew that It wouldn't take that long for my teammates to knock down the male captain.

Returning to her fighting position quickly, she throws straight punches at me, but I predict each one, blocking them from hitting my chest.

I saw an opening. Her arm was stretched out after one of the punches for longer than it should have, so I grabbed it with my hand. Gathering up my strength, I pull on her arm and swiftly turn around, my back facing her. I throw her body over my shoulder, still tugging on her arm, before flipping her over and slamming her back into the mat.

The sound of her impact was loud, and I recognized that my teammates had also taken out the other three opponents at the same time I had gotten her out.

"West End Warriors captains are eliminated! Guerrieri d'Acciaio wins this round!"

Damn, I was hoping for more of a challenge.
