Hey guys! I apologize if this chapter is short (900+ words) I updated this while I was riding the bus. I haven't been updating for like 3 days because I was really busy with dance practice and studying because exams are near.

The next chapter won't proceed to chapter 11 but it's chapter 11. I won't spoil what's gonna happen on the next chapter though ;))

Day 4

Arishira's POV:

"Wow! We raised a ton of money with that photo booth!" Our class secretary exclaimed, and a wave of pride washed over us.

I collected the cash from the machine and handed it to the class treasurer. Today was the fourth day of Founders' Day, and it was time to close up shop. I was so glad the students had enjoyed it so much.

I gathered all the props and carefully placed them in a large, eco-friendly bag.

My classmates helped lift the photo booth and its decorations, and together we headed back to our classroom. Once there, they set the machine down in the back. Dad wasn't available to pick it up, but I planned to ask one of his assistants to collect both me and the booth later.

While the treasurer and auditor meticulously counted the money, boredom gnawed at me. Kira was out on a date with Atsumu, leaving me with nothing to do. Osamu was likely busy; they were preparing for the upcoming national competition. Atsumu had even skipped practice for his date with Kira-wow. I just hoped Atsumu wouldn't get into trouble for missing practice.

I'd heard there was a band playing tonight at the gym, and the students were buzzing with excitement. I decided to check it out; it sounded like fun. It wasn't just a band; there was also a duet and several solo acts scheduled.

"Ari, hurry up!" Kira urged, pulling me toward the outdoor stage. It was already 5 PM, and dusk was settling. We were eager to see the renowned performers. I wondered what songs they'd chosen for tonight's performance.

Stagehands were setting up speakers and testing the microphones. I hoped Osamu would be able to make it to see the band, too.

The first act was a duet-a woman and a man took the stage. Kira explained that they performed at weddings and restaurants, depending on the musical genre requested.

A pianist and a guitarist joined them onstage.

The crowd erupted in cheers as Kira and I settled into our seats. Standing for the entire performance wasn't appealing. Kira, however, seemed thrilled.

"You can stay here if you want, Ari. I'm going closer to get a better view," Kira said, disappearing into the throng of standing spectators. I remained seated, patiently waiting for the music to begin, my hand resting on Kira's seat to save it.

A familiar electric guitar riff filled the air. This was my favorite song! I knew it.

The song began: "Until I Found You" by Stephen Sanchez ft. Em Beihold.

Georgia
Wrap me up in all your-, I want ya
In my arms, oh, let me hold ya~
I'll never let you go again like I did
Oh, I used to say~

"I would never fall in love again until I found her"
I said, "I would never fall unless it's you I fall into"~
I was lost within the darkness, but then I found her
I found you~

I felt a presence behind me. Oh no, it was Osamu. I quickly lifted my hand from the seat, and he sat down beside me.

Heaven
When I held you again
How could
We ever just be friends?~
I would rather die than let you go
Juliet to your Romeo
How I heard you say~

"Done with practice?" I asked, enjoying the duet's performance of my favorite song.

"Yeah," he replied, his gaze fixed on the stage.

"I would never fall in love again until I found her"~
I said, "I would never fall unless it's you I fall into"
I was lost within the darkness, but then I found her
I found you~

As the song neared its end, just before the final guitar solo and the changeover to the next band, Osamu suddenly grabbed my arm and pulled me toward the edge of the crowd, away from the stage.

"Hey!-" I protested, startled by his abrupt action.

He led me to his car and helped me into the passenger seat. Where were we going?

During the drive, I texted Kira to let her know my whereabouts. The ride was silent, and I had no idea what Osamu was up to.

The car stopped, and I realized we were home! Had he just driven me home because it was getting late and didn't want me to finish watching the band? Rude.

He didn't say a word. Osamu opened the car door and scooped me up as if I weighed nothing. What the heck?!

"Wait! My keys!" I fumbled for my keys, realizing I'd left my school bag in the classroom! What was going on?!

At least Dad's assistant had already picked up the photo booth, so that was one less worry. My bag only contained notebooks and school supplies. Unfortunately, Kira had my phone. Seriously?!

Thankfully, my keys were safely in my skirt pocket.

Osamu struggled to open the front door, but finally managed it. He flipped on the light switch and gently placed me on the couch.

I decided to confront him. "Hey. If you just wanted to take me home, you could have said something!"

"What happened to you last night?" he asked, his voice serious and cold.

He must have been referring to my text. I had assured him I was fine.

Even though I wasn't.

"I told you I was fine, didn't I?" I retorted, irritation coloring my voice. Had he really come all the way to my house just for this?

"You're a terrible liar, you know that?"
