The following day came around and thankfully for Amelia, her parents didn't mention anything about the event's of last night at the Bone Yard.
Although her dad didn't particularly care about fitting in with the Kooks on Figure 8, pissing off Ward Cameron, someone he did business with, wasn't a good thing.
Lia could only hope as she headed to the Chateau to meet her friends that Sarah would refrain from telling her dad what happened with JJ and Topper.
The brown haired girl hopped out of her dad's jeep and immediately spotted her 4 friends sat on the porch of the balcony eagerly awaiting her arrival.
"Wow, who died?" Amelia asked as she joined them on the porch. "Sorry, bad choice of words.""
"Okay, sit down and listen." JJ told her as he placed his hand on her shoulder and softly pushed her down into the arm chair on the porch next to where John B was stood.
Next minute JJ started to explain what happened at Ms Lana's house with the guys who tried to shoot the Pogue's out at the marsh, all while John B stayed quiet.
Amelia watched after a few minutes of JJ explaining, quiet dramatically, what had happened them as John B took his father's compass out of his pocket and stared at it.
"Why do they want the compass?" Pope asked looking around at his friends. "It's a piece of shit. No offence JB. You couldn't pawn it off for five bucks if you wanted to.
"Office." John B suddenly spoke up, ignoring everything Pope had just said.
"What?"
"My dad. My dad's office." John B explained as he started walking by the Pogues and heading inside the house. "He always kept the office locked because he was worried about his competitors stealing his Royal Merchant research. We used to laugh at him like he was gonna find it. But now that he's gone, I've just kinda... I just left it as he kept it."
"Yeah, for when he gets back." Kiara said as John B started to unlock the door.
Kiara threw JJ and Pope a look telling them not to comment on what she had just said. No one wanted to admit that Big John was really gone, but as time passed on it become more and more of a possibility that it might be the truth.
"I've slept over here like 600 times, and I've never seen this door opened." Pope commented as they all walked inside.
"This is the original owner, right here." John B explained as he pulled over a notice board that was covered with names, dates and pictures of men in John B's family.
