DAY ONE! I hope you all are as excited as I am to get started.
As you all have probably already seen, the first task is to create a summary of your story/new story idea. I would like it to encompass as much of the idea as you have in your head, from the beginning to at least the direction it will head. No, you do not have to sell the ending if you're not sure of it or don't want to give it away! I would like this summary to be at least 150 words, but it can be however much longer you'd like.
I will try my best to read and judge entries as I get them. Results for the winner of each task will be posted in the next task chapter.
This is also, not entirely your synopsis, so it is not meant to grab attention or anything, just simply explaining your idea. Below, I have written an example for you. It is my personal summary of the novel I'm starting for this challenge. So, you guys get a sneak peek of my new novel along the way! Enjoy and good luck!
My Summary:
The Carnisian Empire has been under a generational curse for centuries ever since its emperor performed a covetous ritual to gain eternal life and power over his kingdom. However, the curse backfired, dividing the empire into seven sectors, each representative of one of the Seven Deadly Sins, and he was condemned to watch his people suffer, generation after generation.
A group of university students, each born from one of the sin-inflicted sectors, begins to realize they can control their curse, using their sin not as a limitation but as an advantage. Each student will face both internal and external conflicts as they try to uncover an end to the curse. Along the way, they are confronted by the sector leaders who begin to view them as a threat to their power. A battle ensues, and serves to test their friendship and dedication to their mission.
As their final act, the students realize they must confront the source of the curse itself: Emperor Zarvyk. There, the true nature of the curse is revealed, and the students face their final most difficult trial yet as they fight to end the curse once and for all.
