Chapter 1: The Roommate and The Bull

In the dormitory. No one's pov:

Bloom and Stella open the dorm room door.

"-cool" is heard from Stella after the door is opened followed by, "That's my room over there, the same one I had last year."

They head to her room and open the door.

"This room is so pretty," Bloom says in awe.

"Yeah, and I had it all to myself last year, such a shame," Stella says in a somewhat lofty tone.

"Really? I wish I had a room to myself" Bloom says as she enters her room before stepping on a plant. That plant then starts whining about her stepping on it. Bloom begins to mumble apologies before another girl steps forward towards the plant.

"No, excuse me. I just got here, and uh- well, I left my things all over the floor. This is a talking plant, one of my creations. My name is Flora," she says before her plant falls to the ground.

"My name is Bloom," the girl says before Stella interrupts her by clearing her throat.

"Oh I mean yes, Bloom is a name I like a lot, but it's not my name. In fact uh..... My real name is... Varanda of a- Calisto, yeah that's it." She says panicked before a girl with pink hair, behind Bloom speaks.

"Calisto? Fourth world of magic reels upper ring? Wow, that's quite a ways away. Hi, my name is Tecna."

"Hi Tecna, I'm Stella" Stella introduces. Tecna then points at her.

"Hey, I've heard about you."

"Me too." A new voice chimes in coming from a girl with dark hair. "By the way, before you blow up your room, give us time to duck and cover, okay?" She says in a sassy manner. The girls laugh for a bit with Stella defending herself.

"Ugh, it was just an accident, if you really want to know."

Tecna speaks again. "An accident that got you expelled? How did you manage to get readmitted?"

"Well, the truth is they couldn't do without someone as gorgeous as me." Stella is then cut off by a rabbit screaming because the aforementioned talking plant is holding him up. Bloom and Flora start apologizing on their companion's behalf and Flora ends up making some carrots for the bunny.

"Why don't we eat out tonight? It'll be our way of celebrating the new school year." Stella says.

Flora is the first to respond. "Great idea, that will give us a chance to get to know one another."

"Anyone for-" Bloom is interrupted by the door opening. A new person is standing there. A girl with gray hair going just past her shoulders, and darker gray eyes. Her hair had two long braids going to her waist, and her face adorned some simple black framed, tinted glasses.

The girls stare at her before Tecna speaks up. "You must be Zephyr, right? I saw your name on the door."

The new girl looks at her with tired eyes. "Yeah, if that is too hard for you to pronounce, I also go by Zee"

"You want to go out to eat with us?" Stella asked optimistically.

"No thanks," The girl answers before heading to her shared room.

"Rude," Stella murmurs before the girls leave the dorm.

That was practically all that the Winx, as they now called themselves, had talked to the other dorm members, aside from formalities until the Winx broke into Cloudtower to get Stella's ring back and got in trouble.
