Suguru Geto and Satoru Gojo. The well known duo in Jujutsu High, known for the strong friendship between the two.

Suguru, a tall, slim, muscular man with long, luscious, black hair tied up in a man bun. His eyes, a thin deep, divine purple, his left eye occasionally getting covered by his bangs.

Satoru, a man with a tall, slim, and muscular physique. His hair, short, and a beautiful white color. Combined with striking, vibrant, blue eyes.

Suguru, the one and only best friend of Satoru, secretly harbors unspoken feelings for Satoru, yet he believes they'll never be reciprocated. Meanwhile, Satoru, believes they are just close friends and will become nothing more. To Suguru, every movement they do together only makes him fall in love with Satoru more, but he knows Satoru will always think of him as a best friend only.

One day, Satoru meets a girl in his class. And unexpectedly, fell in love with her. The girl.. she had long, gorgeous, dark brown hair, fused with lovely emerald green eyes. With her warm-hearted nature.. how can someone not fall in love with someone like her? "An angel in disguise", that's what they call her.

After high school was finished for the day, Satoru immediately wanted to tell Suguru about his new crush. He saw Suguru sitting down on a bench and went to talk to him.

Satoru : "Suguru, Suguru! I have something to tell you!"

Suguru : "Yes, Satoru.. What is it that you want to tell me?, I'm all ears."

Satoru : "I.. I met a girl in class.. and.. I think I have a crush on her!"

What Satoru just said.. made Suguru's heart ache, but he proceeded to play along, as if he didn't have any feelings other than platonic for Satoru.

Suguru : "Wow.. that's great, Satoru. What is she like?"

Satoru : "Oh, she's great! She's beautiful.. her eyes , her hair, her everything.. And especially her kind personality.. She's my dream girl, Suguru.."

Suguru's heart was now aching more, but he continues holds it in.

Suguru : "She sounds so nice.. I'm happy for you. Have you talked to her?"

Satoru : "No, not yet.. But I'll try to talk to her tomorrow! If I even get a chance.."

Suguru : "Satoru, dont be like that. Once she gets to know you, she'll start to slowly fall in love with you, even if you fell in love with her first."

Suguru's words bought Satoru's mood up, it was nice having a best friend like him, Satoru thought to himself.

Satoru : "Wow, Suguru! You're really great with words, you know that? And you just got my hopes up for her, thank you for that!"

Suguru : "You're welcome, Satoru. If you need any advice, just ask me."

As Satoru excitedly shared every little detail about his crush, Suguru couldn't help but feel a growing tightness in his chest. Each word, every bright spark in Satoru's voice, felt like a knife twisting deeper into his heart.

Satoru's happy. He's in love with someone else.

Suguru forced a smile, his stomach churning as Satoru continued to talk about the girl.
She sounds so perfect.
Of course she does.
Of course you'd fall for someone like her.
Suguru thought bitterly. It wasn't jealousy, not exactly. It was.. Something much deeper. Something that felt like betrayal, even though Satoru wasn't doing anything wrong.

She has everything.
Her eyes.
Her hair.
Her personality.
She's everything he's not.
Suguru clenched his fist, feeling the strain of suppressing his emotions. It hurt more than he expected. I should be happy for him, he thought. "But why does it feel like I'm suffocating?"

Satory's voice broke through his thoughts, full of enthusiasm as he described their next encounter.

Satoru : "I can't wait to talk to her tomorrow,"

He said, his face lighting up.

Satoru : "I've never felt this way about someone before.."

Suguru nodded, trying to appear calm.

Suguru : "You'll do great, Satoru. I'm sure she'll be just as taken with you as you are with her."

His own voice sounded distant to his ears, almost foreign. The words were hollow, meant to reassure Satoru but lacking the sincerity they used to have.

Why am I even doing this?
Suguru asked himself.
Why do I let him talk about her like this?
He wanted to scream, to tell Satoru how much it hurt, how much he wanted to be the one receiving that attention. But instead, he just nodded, pretending to be the supportive best friend.

Satoru's excitement was infectious, and Suguru hated himself for not being able to feel the same. He hated the way his heart twisted with every laugh, with very innocent comment that made Satoru's smile shine even brighter.

I'll always be in the background. Always the best friend. Always the one who loves from afar.
