"Honey, I'm home."
How much he longed,
To finally tell her this.
For once, he belonged.
Coming back from war,
All these voices that yell.
The difference,
He can no longer tell.
He listens,
To hear, "Welcome home!!"
Yet, nobody speaks.
Not even the garden gnomes.
The door,
With its doormat.
Stating "WELCOME HOME".
There was only that.
He's home,
But none rush to greet him.
He hopes,
But the chances are slim.
Again,
"Honey? I'm home!"
Only, a doctor answered.
Knowing what shouldn't be shown.
The soldier asked,
"Where is she??"
The doctor replied,
"She went to see, he who is heavenly."
Only she was welcomed home...
