Paige had said it mulitple times, no one in this world is more persevering than she is. Specifically when pre-ordering a set of pastries that she'd been craving for months.
After lining up at the Cafe Reese starting from 1 in the afternoon till 4, she got the pastries freshyly made and of course with all the effort of a victorious warrior who successfully fought of hundreds of customers just to get the last box.
She opened it carefully with much delicacy as she sat on the Cafe's chair where her usual spot was.
Near the window overlooking the Restaurant across, where the guy she's been liking from afar can be seen helping his dad who owns the resto.
For Paige this was the most perfect day ever:
1. The guy she likes where she can see him
2. The box of pastries that only comes once a year
3. Her usual spot overlooking (see no. 1)Then it all went to shambles in a matter of seconds.
Just as Paige was about to taste the Lavender egg tart nearing her mouth with all its scrumptious and beautiful yellow interior and golden brown crust made with puff pastry and the slight lavender scent it gives.
The bell from the door suddenly rang loud as it opened and cold air wafted inside. Then a tall man in a suit went inside and ordered a cup of coffee in the counter before slowly walking towards her corner
Paige stared so shockingly at him recognizing his stature even though he had a mask on.
"Hell no" unknowingly whispering those words as he even winked at her
Her hand was frozen as the poor tart slowly and slightly crumbled in her touch because each second was too fast for her to even think about what was happening.
He sat in front of her and then looked her dead in the eyes saying.
"Let's get married"
