Chapter 8: Together in the Rain

~Hoka~

I looked around the beach, as my hair was soaked from the rain. The green jacket I borrowed from Sanageyama, wasn't helping at all.

"Where did Nonon run off to....?" I thought to myself.

I looked around again and froze. Nonon was sitting underneath a tree, her clothes soaking wet. They clung to her already soaking wet body. Her hair was also wet, and it framed her face as she stared at the sand beneath her feet. I slowly walked over to her. I heard her gentle sobbing, as I realized she was crying. 

"Nonon...."

She stopped and hurriedly wiped away her tears, with her shirt.

"What do you want you pathetic dog?" She snapped at me. 

"You're going  to catch a cold."

"I don't care."

"I do."

She looked up and glared at me. 

"Yeah....You actually care for me!" 

She laughed slightly.

"The only thing you care about is your damn computer!"

I sighed slightly as she turned her back to me. I took off the green jacket, revealing my water jacket. I took it off and draped it over Nonon. She seemed surprised as she looked at me over her shoulder. I sat down beside her, and wrapped my arm around her shoulders. I pulled her close to me. 

"W-What are you doing?!" She yelled, lifting up my jacket off her face to look at me.

"Keeping you warm. If you're going to stay here all night, I'm going to be here with you, and keep you warm."

Her face turned red, as she looked away.

"B-Baka! You're going to catch a cold!" 

"Oh?" I asked in a mocking tone. "You actually care....About me?" 

"Baka!" She yelled, as she pushed me away from her.

I chuckled and pulled her down with me. She yelped, and my jacket flew off of her. I landed on my back as she landed on my chest. Her face turned red even more. 

"B-Baka! Why did y-you do that?!" She yelled. 

"So I could do this."

I moved her soaked pink hair away from her face and kissed her.
