A groan escaped my throat even before I could open my eyes. My head is pounding very hard that I could feel my brain enlarging! Slowly opening my eyes, I squinted at the light briefly blinding my sensitive eyes.
"Where am I?" my voice sounded raspy as well. My throat feels dry and I feel sticky all over my body, like I just jumped on a bath tub full of glue. Yuck. I sat up and spotted Luke standing by the door with his arms folded across his chest.
Please tell me I'm not in somebody else's room or my brother is going to kill me, and skin me alive.
"You're in your room, sleeping ugly." I felt relieved when Luke said that and I slumped on the headboard lazily. Today's Sunday and I can finally relax inside the comfortable walls surrounding our house. My head is still pounding though. Luke started to walk towards my bed before he gave me a glass of water and a pill of Advil.
"Drink."
If I wasn't in this state, I would have kicked him in his balls right now because he's literally acting like he's the boss of me. All I could do was roll my eyes as I took the medicine from him before chugging it down with the glass of water. I sighed as I reveled in the comfort of the water as it quenches my throat.
"What happened?" I asked him before he could even go out my door. He turned around and sat at the beanbag inside my room and looked around my room as if he's trying to remember something important.
"You got drunk last night. Someone poured hard liquor in your punch and apparently, because you're a first timer, you thought it was a regular punch and you partied your ass off." He raised an eyebrow at me before continuing. "Obviously, you weren't able to avenge your humiliation caused by the big bad wolf, little piggy."
Suddenly, in came Jace wearing an apron with a tray of delicious looking pancakes and a glass of orange juice paired with a beam on his face. Why are they in my house at a Sunday morning?
"Good morning, little drunk sunshine. How's your sleep?" His enthusiasm doesn't quite clearly reach me and all I could do was frown at the sight of him practically glowing inside my solitary room. But thank goodness he brought pancakes.
"Why are you idiots here?" I asked as Jace placed the tray on my bedside table. He gasped after hearing my question and acted as if he's hurt.
"Well, I don't really appreciate you calling me an idiot when I'm actually not one, but to answer your question, we got scolded by your brother at 3 in the morning because we brought you home slurring words, and almost naked because of the little thing you were wearing last night. So for our punishment, we have to stay beside you all the time for a day." He explained.
"Which I don't particularly like," Luke added and all I could do was nod. After a second, Luke smirked and prodded beside me.
"ARE YOU FEELING ALRIGHT, YOUR HIGHNESS!?" he screamed at the top of his voice and I swear I just felt my brain sizzle and pop at the same time, causing me to cover my precious ears because he is enjoying torturing me at the moment.
I grabbed my alarm clock before throwing it at Luke and it smacked him at his shoulders, not entirely the spot I was aiming at, but it caused the both of them to get out my room while sniggering.
I'm surrounded by barbarians on a Sunday morning while I'm not entirely feeling well at the moment. And where is my brother?
After taking a bath, I prodded downstairs where I spotted Jace and Luke lounging at the couch while browsing through some channels on the TV. They look bored and not hung-over – good for them. They saw me but ignored me completely so I sat down beside Jace before sighing because I'm stuck with these two idiots for the whole day because of my brother. Since it's a Sunday morning, he must be at the hospital with Amy where they volunteered to help since they have free time. Gee. I think all the kindness in the family went to Evan and I didn't even had a drop of it.
