Aunt Jinkyong is confident that Jimin won't get permission from Mr. Park and Mrs. Park to get a job, and so encourages Jimin to call them."Go ahead, Jimin. Call your parents and ask for their permission," Aunt Jinkyong says with a smirk.
Jimin picks up his phone and dials his parents' number. After a brief conversation, he asks, "Appa, can I talk to you about something?"
"What is it, Jimin?" Mr. Park asks.
"Aunt Jinkyong's pension has stopped, and I want to help out. Also, I want to prove to someone that money doesn't equate to respect," Jimin explains.
Mr. Park pauses for a moment before responding, "Okay, Jimin. You have our permission to get a job."
Jimin's face lights up with a mix of excitement and nervousness. He turns to his father and asks playfully, "Appa, can we make sweets without sugar?"
Mr. Park chuckles and replies, "No, we can't."
As soon as Jimin hangs up the phone, the enormity of what he's about to do hits him – he's going to have a job. For a small-town boy who has been raised to think that he will only leave home to marry and then be a housewife after marriage, the prospect of entering the workforce is terrifying.
Jimin turns to Seokjin with a sudden sullen face and says, "I thought you would get married, then I would get proposals and get married, and then we'd talk to each other on the phone from our in-law's places."
Seokjin looks taken aback, and Jimin quickly puts aside his worries to make his brother smile again.
"Hey, I'm sorry, hyung. I didn't mean to upset you," Jimin says, trying to cheer up Seokjin.
Seokjin smiles weakly and replies, "I'm sorry too, Jimin. I wish I could help you, but I don't know anything about jobs."
Jimin's face sets in determination as Seokjin continues, "You know, Jimin, you succeed at things you're scared of despite your fear. You'll be okay."
Jimin's first day at job :---
Jimin rushes into the temple, hoping to squeeze in a quick chat with God before his first day of work. He kneels down in front of the altar and begins to murmur a prayer.Just then, Minsung walks into the temple and spots Jimin. He can't help but smile at Jimin's habit of talking to God.
"Whatever happens will be for the best," Minsung says, his voice low and soothing.
Jimin looks up, startled, and accidentally dislodges the Appointment Letter from his bag. He watches in horror as it slips out of the bag and onto the floor.
"Ah no, my Appointment Letter!" Jimin exclaims, scrambling to pick it up.
But it's too late. The letter has slipped under a nearby pew, and Jimin can't retrieve it.
Minsung chuckles and pats Jimin on the back. "Don't worry, Jimin. You'll be fine."
Jimin takes a deep breath and nods. He says a quick goodbye to Minsung and rushes out of the temple.
As he arrives at his new workplace, Jimin's eyes widen in surprise. The building has a large JJk logo emblazoned on the side.
Jimin's heart skips a beat as he realizes he should have asked more questions about where he was working.
He takes a deep breath and pushes open the door. Inside, he's greeted by a friendly supervisor who shows him to the conference room.
"Welcome, Jimin. We're excited to have you on board," the supervisor says, smiling.
