Thomas's P.O.V I am running as fast as I ever have, but it's not enough. Soon the griever will catch up to me if I don't come up with a plan. The walls around me kept growing taller and taller. I couldn't see any vines to climb. It was finally catching up to me when I tripped and it tore me to shreds. I woke up to Minho shaking me. I guess it's time to go running. "Dude, you were yelling in your sleep," Minho told me. "Um... I was having a bad dream?" I told him. "Is that a question?" He asked me laughing. I told him to shut up and stood to go with him into the maze.
"If we don't hurry, we are going to be late," He said as he handed me an apple. We started to jog over to the maze entrance, it's always the same routine. Get up, into the maze, running for hours on end, coming back, eating, sleeping. It's not like I didn't enjoy it though, it's like the maze was drawing me towards it.
"How long have we been going?" I asked Minho, coming out of my thoughts. "We have been going for about ten minutes. Are you already tired?" He asked me jokingly. But I actually was, I hadn't slept well. When I finally did fall asleep I had a nightmare. I often got nightmares where the grievers are chasing me until I just can't run any more. I usually don't yell in my sleep though, that's a first. I haven't really slept in about three days actually, probably not good. I got my water from my bag as I was still running and drank a little bit. I was breathing heavily after about fifteen minutes!
"Dude whats wrong with you. Do you need a break or something?" Minho asked me for the second time. I was getting frustrated with myself, when I tripped over nothing. "Ah shuck it," I said finally giving in and setting down. Minho sat next to me sliding his back down the wall. "It's alright Thomas, you're just tired. Take a break for once." He told me. I was starting to see black dots in front of my eyes. I think i'm going to black out now. I tried to tell Minho but the words wouldn't form in my mouth. That's when I slumped and all I remember was Minho catching me when it all went black.
